Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is the leading known preventable neurodevelopmental disorder and is only caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. Studies have suggested that the FASD prevalence could be over 3%.

The seminar considers the impact on the new NICE quality standard on FASD and the role of different professionals. It explores how sensory processing issues may affect the person’s presentation. It looks at how to reframe behaviours and different strategies that can help when working or caring for with someone with FASD in different settings.
