👉️Deepening Empathy with Embodied Engagement in Therapy – A day of exploring embodied knowledge and applying it to our practice.

From this course you will:

*Be able to reflect on how and where embodied knowledge forms a relationship with your usual clinical theory and method, as well as understanding why working at embodied relational empathy is essential when we are working with people who experience the impact of relational and developmental trauma

*Explore, in a safe space, with likeminded colleagues, the method of ‘inhabiting the body space’ of the people you are working with as a vehicle for deepening empathy

*Start of process of enabling your body to tell the story brought by the people you are working with, and deepening your capacity to use your body as a co-regulatory device to hold the people you work with at the edge of their window of tolerance, this supporting growth in challenge

👉️ DISSOCIATION IN CHILDREN: An overlooked coping mechanism that leads to behavioural issues.

Over the course of the three days you will learn:
*Understand dissociation and how it is related to trauma, developmental trauma and attachment.
*An understanding of the general theories around dissociation and Janina Fisher’s model adapted by Karen
*How to identify when children, adolescents and adults dissociate
*How you may encounter dissociation in your practice as it occurs throughout daily life
*How to identify different parts

Mark your calendars as we have a fantastic training opportunity coming up in 2026!

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is the leading known preventable neurodevelopmental disorder and is only caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. Studies have suggested that the FASD prevalence could be over 3%.

The seminar considers the impact on the new NICE quality standard on FASD and the role of different professionals. It explores how sensory processing issues may affect the person’s presentation. It looks at how to reframe behaviours and different strategies that can help when working or caring for with someone with FASD in different settings.
