To all the amazing women out there on international women's day where we respect and acknowledge the achievements of all women.
And an extra with a special cheers to all the incredible, strong, determined and independent single women who are part of Date in the Diary. These women, each with their own story are navigating life solo (many with children) - women who have lost a partner, women who have been cheated on, women who have walked away or been walked away from, women who have suffered abuse, women who have battled cancer and other illnesses......amongst other things. You are all extra amazing. And what we love, is to see you living your best single life! Cheers to you ladies!!

It's the last day of February, it's Friday, the sun is shining and there is really no better time to be single. Look at everything we have in the diary for our members in March from walks and padel tennis to wine tasting to our usual relaxed and fun socials. We have a new area this month as we have our first drinks social in Old Amersham.

It's the last Monday of February!!!! and time for our Monday Diary Download.
This weekend saw another of our monthly padel sessions - (now running in Maidenhead, Swindon and Weybridge) - made even better by an England win in the six nations! Yesterday was a member hosted event where some of our community met to enjoy a Sunday afternoon and social while listening to live music!

It's been a busy few weeks (more than a week to tell you about this time). Our members have enjoyed getting their adrenalin pumping climbing. Breathing in some fresh air and chatting at our Sunday walks. Team play at our quiz nights. Nostasgia inducing Abba Voyage. Some Chocolate Making fun. Wine Tasting and the usual socials with a great night out in Windsor on Saturday night in search of the best cocktail in Windsor....our vote goes to No 5 St Leonards Road though we loved the fun of .

Padel Tennis this Saturday - and this week watching England take on Scotland afterwards
Drinks Social in Guildford
Sunday walk coming up next week in Tillingbourne, hosted by our new partner Dave Lambert of DG Outdoor Adventures

We are always asking our members what events they want to see in our diary and theatre nights has come up a lot! Let's face it, we all love the theatre, but when you are single you don't always have someone to go with. And it's an excuse to head into London a fun single group. Group theatre nights are looking to be really popular with our first trip next week to watch Why Am I So Single (well why not, this one is totally relevant) at The Garrick Theatre, London. Abba Voyage is next and The Devil Wears Prada.....what other theatre performances would you like to see?? Let us know! and come and join us.

Everybody is talking about Padel Tennis and that's because it's such great fun and so sociable - so we now run monthly social padel sessions for our members which are proving very popular! We were at Padel Maidenhead yesterday which was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon after the rainy windy weather had passed. An hour of mixed games and moving around to socialise and meet as many of the group as possible, followed by a well deserved refreshment in the club house afterwards. Our next session is Sunday 24th Nov and we are looking to roll out these into other areas! Singles, come and join us! www.dateinthediary.com

Any plans for Friday night? Well if you are single, why not get yourself out on the river and join us for a Paddleboard Tour. The sun is looking to be shining for a lovely early evening adventure (starts at 5pm). Our fabulous friends at Paddleboard Maidenhead are taking our Solo SUP'ers along a beautiful stretch of the river from Boulters Lock up to grounds of Cliveden. All abilities welcome, it's just a great way to meet other local singles doing something fun! DITD members book through our website. We talk a lot about the importance of friendship at Date in the Diary. Most people have friends in life but single people, and especially those who have divorced or are widowed, often find the dynamic of friendships does change when they find themselves 'single'.
