I am a qualified floral designer based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire and have been working with flowers for more than 10 years. I buy flowers fresh from the market for every order, large or small. Izzie + Barney: four weeks ago this fabulous pair had a very striking black and white wedding . Not a colour scheme you see very often but I loved it. So elegant 🤍
And I loved them - such a great couple to work with and I’ve loved the photos Izzie has sent to me since, where she is literally grinning from ear to ear in all of them!! 🤍🥂
I loved creating this bridal bouquet for Becky… big, bold and blooming fabulous 🩷💛❤️🧡
We had Coral Charm and Karl Rosenfield peonies in there; Country Blues, Romantic Antike and Bellini roses in there; Kiejsers Coral spray roses, Francesca Matthiola, Sweet Peas, Red Velvet Scabiosa, Celosia, oh and Antica Eustoma!
Loved the colours. Loved the textures. And loved all the images that Alistair managed to take of it 😍🤩 thank you!
At Katy + Duncan’s wedding a couple of weeks ago, we had lined the aisle in the church with ten little meadows. It was a lovely wide and long aisle so they were ideal.
Yes, that can get pretty expensive but we made sure to find really good homes for all of them back at their marquee wedding reception - they worked perfectly at the ends of their long dining tables, they decorated the central bar and we had a few in front of the stage.
They then went on to decorate the groom’s family home for a gathering the next day which also makes me happy.

If I was given a flower wand I would absolutely wave it about and twirl all the ribbons, just like this!

Making a big entrance for Katy + Duncan on Saturday…
They had erected a three pole sail cloth marquee from in their parents’ back garden and they asked me to create a grand entrance that suited the garden setting.
The floral arrangements had been sat at the entrances to the Church for their ceremony so we repurposed those and elevated them a little here with the use of my vintage apple crates (I’ve got all sorts of useful bits and bobs like this!). Then we added lots of lush greenery from , a few lanterns and nestled in their Welcome sign.
They loved it. I loved it. What do you think..?
By the way, a big shout out to my team of helpers last Saturday because I could not have pulled all this together on my own…

Happy 1st Anniversary to Rosie + Seb who married at last September 🥂
Rosie and Seb just needed bridal party bouquets and buttonholes along with some flowers for their ceremony which they repurposed in to their wedding breakfast. And it was lovely of Rosie to write in her 5-star review… “Joanne did a fantastic job with the flowers for our wedding. She was friendly and helpful with working to our budget and the flowers on the day looked incredible. We had so many compliments from the guests on the beautiful colours in the arrangements.”
I really did love the dusky colour palette and we used some gorgeous Dahlia and Roses including the Cafe au Lait, Wizard of Oz, Polar Ice and Happy Jill Dahlia; White O’hara, Memory Lane and Avalanche roses as well as some Astilbe, Astrantia, Waxflower and Cosmos.
Love looking back on all these happy days and happy customers. Hope you’ve both had a good day celebrating 🤍
A few days ago Jo + Simon celebrated their First Wedding Anniversary 💕 Congratulations 🥂
They had such a wonderful wedding last September and I remember fondly all the colourful seasonal flowers we used.
They were kind enough to leave a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review which said: “Joanne was a pleasure to deal with in the run up to our wedding. She was prompt in her responses, friendly in all our chats and so helpful especially as neither of us knew much about what we wanted from our flowers. Ok, so I apologise for not bringing the Kefalonian sunshine back with me this week, and I’m not sure what happened to our Summer today..?

First day back after a fabulously relaxing holiday in Kefalonia and I’m chuffed to bits to return to an email confirming a wedding booking for next July which will be a gorgeous
And I’m just off to meet a potential new client at Danesfield House who have flown in from Canada to chat about their wedding there next August! All very exciting 😃.

Becky + Ben: what a fabulous wedding day yesterday for these two 🧡💖💛 A wedding full of so much fun, style, colour and love.
Whilst we battled with all weathers (the rain and wind spring to mind), it did not stop us getting the job done and delivering some wonderfully colourful floral arrangements for their Church ceremony in and their tipi wedding reception in .
We pulled together so many gorgeous flowers including Coral Charm and Karl Rosenfield peonies; Romantic Antike, Countey Blues and Bellini roses, Red Velvet Scabiosa, Keijers Coral spray rose, Coral sweet Peas, Francesca Matthiola, Craspedia, Achillea, Celosia, Hydrangea, Foxgloves, Eustoma. Lovely palette of pinks, peaches, corals and yellows.
Not everything went according to plan, but all’s well that ends well and I could not have managed without my team of amazing florists - Justine, Debby and Claire - and not forgetting Samuel. Thank you so much for everything.
Jo + Ashley: it was a joy to provide the flowers for Jo and Ashley’s wedding on Temple Island at the weekend - again so many beautiful colourful flowers but also it was great to decorate this unique venue in the middle of the River Thames in Henley.
After the guests had departed on their paddle steamer, we whipped everything off the island (lots of boat trips on Saturday) and took it all back to their gorgeous home where they had stretch tents set up in the garden.
We had two large arrangements which framed the ceremony on the island and then created the perfect entrance in their garden using existing garden urns and they were a perfect fit!
Posies on wine barrels and down the aisle went on to decorate garden furniture.
Everything worked brilliantly really, even the logistical challenges, and the client was really very happy…
“A huge thank you to you and your team for all the beautiful flowers on Saturday - just stunning! If I could have the big arrangements in my garden urns all the time life would be even brighter. Lots of people came up to say the flowers were so lovely. And thank you for handling the logistics with an island…”
I was also great to work with Charlotte for the first time who helped plan the whole thing! And who manage the island.

Loved how the flowers came together on Saturday for Kim + Andy’s wedding - all the colours and textures worked really well and I was particularly pleased with how it all looked in my new gold bowls for their table centres.
Their flowers included Peonies (Bridal Shower and Gardenia), Roses (Shades of Beige and Quicksand), Bridal Flow spray roses, Mont Blanc Campanula, Stocks, Eustoma, Veronica, Eryngium and Waxflower.
I’ll share some more of Kim + Andy’s wedding flowers over the next few days.

I was at Pub In The Park in Marlow this week as my friends at Harrow & Hope asked me to once again add a splash of colour to their marquee.
As ever, they kind of gave me free rein to come up with something and I was inspired by the colours used in their new labelling… I also knew it had to last Thursday to Sunday and survive all weathers which it has pretty much had (torrential rain as soon as I finished it on Thursday to lovely warm sunshine over the weekend!).
Anyway, always a fun little project to be involved with, something a bit different, and it nice to have spotted a few pics on social media with it as a background to glasses of fizz 🥂
Also excited to repurpose all the materials and create something everlasting for their vineyard - watch this space…

It was so lovely and warm last week, what’s happened?! 🤷🏻♀️
This was one of my Florist’s Choice Gift Bouquets I delivered last week to someone who was lucky enough to be celebrating a big birthday with a stay 🥂
It had all the summer vibes - Hydrangea, Peonies, Lupins, Matthiola, Pretty Pillow roses, Clematis and Astrantia 😎
Paige + James: beautiful day on Saturday for their outdoor ceremony (first one of the year here). And we were all pretty in pink 💕
Their original thought on colours was very different but there was a complete change of heart, which I’m always happy to run with, and Paige was thrilled on the day and loved all the pink tones. We had blush (White O’hara roses) to hot (Country Blues roses) and everything in between (Sarah Bernhardt peonies, Hydrangea, Hanoi Lisianthus, Majolica spray roses, Veronica, Astilbe..)
Outside looked gorgeous in the sunshine and we made a big splash inside too.

Roz + Roy: Managed to sneak a pic of the bride on Saturday just after their ceremony
Another beautiful wedding day down by the River Thames (so lucky with the weather at the weekend considering the rain we had on Monday!). This couple wanted a really relaxed, informal vibe with lots of colour - just up my street 💕
Amy + Ed: we were in on Sunday for this really lovely couple’s wedding.
Gorgeous church service on the banks of the River Thames at All Saint’s and while the wedding party were enjoying their champagne reception on the river, we moved everything up to and made sure everything was perfect for their wedding breakfast in the magnificent dining hall.
Loved getting a brief of ‘Burnt Orange bridesmaid dresses’ as it really gave me a chance to play with colour whilst ensuing it was all very seasonal.
Coral Charm peonies were a highlight as were Miss Piggy, Toffee and Shimmer roses (loved how those three worked together). Finished off with Freesia, Matthiola and Ranunculus, along with Amy’s favourite Lilies and Ed’s request for Anthurrium Lilies to remind him of their Caribbean holiday! 🥰
Yay it’s May!
I feel we’ve seen the last of all the gorgeous Spring flowers now like the Tulips, Ranunculus, Narcissus, Hellebore and Fritillaria I had in this bouquet.
But it’s not all bad news! I’m picking up my first Peonies of the season today for this weekend’s wedding. Hurrah for Peony season 🥰👏
Lovely flurry of new enquiries recently for later this year and next. 2025 is already looking pretty exciting - I have even been chatting to some ‘international’ clients who are coming to the UK for their wedding. And I do still have a couple of dates available later this year if anyone is planning their Autumn/Winter weddings.
I’m very much a hands on florist so if you book me for your wedding flowers, it will be me you’ll be working with - from our initial consultation meeting, our venue visit, right through to set up on the day and clear out the day after.
