We have 6 x 60cm flower arrangements perfect for down the aisle or top table display.
Even though I confess I am no florist, I am pleased with how my rustic candleabra arrangement has turned out ready for berries

I am based in Maryport at my shop but work all over Cumbria and Southern Scotland.
Typical Day...I wake up with a cuppa (from hubby) and immediately check my emails and social media. At 10 am I open the shop. My first job is always to write my to do list for the day as every day has different priorities and I need to stay focused, especially when we have one or two weddings per week.
Normally in the mornings, I reply to emails, write quotes, serve customers and generally do the shop work. In the afternoon I tend to show my creative side by planning the that and next months weddings, photographing new ideas, ordering items I need for the next weddings.
I shut the shop around 4.30pm and then home and I am a mum for a few hours. Most nights I spend a bit of time on paperwork, updating social media and researching new trends and ideas. Brides do tend to get in touch through social media at night time and I try to answer quickly as I know they are excited for answers to their questions.
The weekends we have weddings are pretty magical and very hard work. It normally takes a week to prepare for a wedding and then 4-5 hours to set up and then a day to derigging and putting away.
Like Most
I love the creative freedom this job gives me. I love talking about weddings and styling. I love knowing every day will be different, knowing the success of this business is down to me. I feel honoured to be in charge of a bride’s special day and I am always nervous before they have seen it as my worst nightmare is to upset a bride.
Least
I don’t like not having anything to do, especially in the winter as weddings slow down. When I am up to date I am constantly looking at something else to do.
Why did I want to do this job
I am a creative person with a fine art degree and was made redundant after 10 years in a job. In that time I learnt to lot in terms of setting up and running an organisation with little support. I knew I wanted to start my own business. My daughter was married a few years ago and they had to hire décor items form all over Cumbria so when a wedding hire business was decided by the family, we planned to become a one stop shop.
