Melford House has now been transformed into the living room of P L Travers. The immersive set for the premier of the play ‘Bad Wednesday’ which is being performed at Melford House in just a few weeks time. October 3 - 6th. Tickets have sold exceptionally well and we are almost entirely sold out for all the performances. There are only a handful of tickets left so please if you would like to come book quickly! Laurence Cummings OBE himself graces us with his incredible talent here at Melford House in Mayfield. ‘Conductor, Harpsichordist, Music Director of the Academy of Ancient Music and the London Handel Festival, and William Crotch Professor of Historical Performance, Royal Academy of Music’. What a list of accolades. Last weekend we were honoured to host Soprano Ana-Maria Rincon and violinist Julia Bishop and what a treat that was! Saturday night has now sold out. But we still have tickets left for the last of our performances Sunday 2pm. In time to get up to see Mayzing in Mayfield village or to see the football wherever you like! Laurence will be joined by incredible cellist Sam Ng and our local actress extraordinaire Kathryn Pogson.

What an incredible lineup.
Ana-Maria Rincon sings soprano this Sunday at Melford House alongside exceptional musicians Julia Bishop on violin and Laurence Cummings on the harpsichord.
Come and join us on Sunday evening for an intimate world-class performance by these three incredible musicians. They are looking incredible against the new Peacock wallpaper, our incredible new ceiling and panelled walls!
What I’m not showing you is the missing wall, associated debris and the acro props holding everything up! RSJ going in this week … hopefully we’ll get there in time for the first performance by Laurence Cummings and Jack Gonzalez-Harding on the 6th of July.

FREE London concert - Sat 18th May. Here at Melford Arts we love supporting young talent. And they don’t get much more talented than this… may I present the wonderful Esther Park (Mee—Hyun). - we had the honour of hosting Esther a few weeks ago as part of and the Tunbridge Wells International Music Festival here in Mayfield, East Sussex. Esther is an exceptionally talented violinist. We were lucky enough to be treated to hours of rehearsals echoing around Melford House before watching her incredible performances! Esther is back in London now and performing live tomorrow -1:10pm, Sat 18th May at St. James’s Church, Piccadilly - and it’s FREE entry! If you are in London I urge you to go and see her. She is a star in the making… plus she’s just the loveliest person!

As an exciting program of events begins to form here we are loving the opportunity to be inspired by an amazingly eclectic mix of performances around East Sussex! Last night we were highly entertained by the incredible at the Brighton Fringe Festival at The Vault A high energy, hilariously risqué evening! and WHAT A NIGHT… Thank you. Such a pleasure to be part of this joyous evening courtesy of the incredible London Gospel Community Choir. I feel honoured to be a part of this amazing village in this stunning part of East Sussex. And happy birthday Bazil! After a very quiet 6 months here at Melford House I look forward to bringing you more exciting and exceptional events in Mayfield later this year! Watch this space!
