**Breaking News**

Christmas lights switch-on update.

All events today cancelled.

All events today are now cancelled due to inclement weather. The Assembly Hall will not be open to the public.

The lights will still be switched on at 6pm. The council are not encouraging people to attend this.

Melksham News will live stream the switch on tonight with a special message from the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

Anyone booked in for Santa’s Grotto, this will be rearranged for a later date. Please contact Melksham Town Council for more information.

Wow! We are super excited to have been awarded 1st place in the 2024 Melksham Christmas window competition! 🥳😍

We really wanted to focus on creating a sustainable Christmas window display this year, so we borrowed a Christmas tree, were gifted some used decorations, reused lights from previous years, bought second hand stockings and made a fire place out of old floral boxes. We love our second hand Christmas window 🎄❤️

Also, a big congratulations to the runners up and all of the other businesses who took part this year, there are so many wonderful window displays in town - we were up against some tough competition!
