šŸŒø Our incredible team made the Bloom Media project a huge success at Borders Book Festival / 13-16 June, 2024!

āœØ They supported an amazing group of young people who enjoyed every minute of their work experience. The chance to get stuck into genuine media opportunities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

šŸŽ„ Special thanks to our top broadcast mentors, Sally Magnusson, James Naughtie, and Stephen Jardine. Our young content creators also received high praise from BBC's Clive Myrie and Louise Minchin, Beano's Mike Stirling and Craig Graham, author and Craftivist Collective's Sarah Corbett, Scot's poet Len Pennie, plus many more.

The amazing Ailie Finlay of My Kind of Book who does our sensory storytime sessions at the book festival is part of the team behind the Accessible Book & Story Festival, taking place at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh on 13 and 14 September. What a brilliant initiative - donā€™t miss it!

We have lots of amazing sensory story skills workshops at the Accessible Book and Story Festival (led by Oily Cart, Pamis, CALL Scotland, Nicola Grove, My Kind of Book and many others) and lots of opportunities for teachers and others to share their sensory story ideas. Help us plan for 2025...

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for this yearā€™s wonderful weekend at Borders Book Festival.

We will be back, same time, same place, next year, with the festival scheduled for 12 - 15 June 2025. Thereā€™s lots to do before then, and weā€™d be very grateful if you could help us.

If you attended this Juneā€™s festival, we would love to hear all about your experiences. It will only take a few minutes to complete our survey and your answers will be invaluable in assisting us to secure essential funding and support, and in helping us to plan for next yearā€™s festival and beyond.

The survey closes at midnight on 12 August. All answers you give will remain confidential.

Thank you for your participation - we look forward to hearing from you.

We are proud to stand beside eight of the UKā€™s leading literary festivals in issuing the following message about our collective impact and shared mission.

A combination of sponsorship, private donations and arts funding allows the Borders Book Festival to thrive, enriching the cultural life of the Borders in all sorts of ways. Recent times have seen both business budgets constrained and arts funding axed, so weā€™re now appealing for support.

Please consider becoming a Friend, Patron or Benefactor, making a donation, leaving a legacy, or building a corporate partnership that enables us to work with schools and create a positive lasting impact on our community.
