Spring 'cool' flowers will open up quickly once brought indoors into the warmth of your home. To be honest, most flowers will & this is why, how long they last, depends on how you care for them once you get them home.
Daffodils secret a milky sap when you cut the stem. This can poison other flowers if you place them in the same water straight away. Once you trim the stems when you get them home, place them in their own water for an hour to allow the sap seepage to stop. Then you can arrange them with other flowers & foliage if you wish in fresh water, or simply enjoy their beauty all on their own.

A bit behind where I'd have liked to have been with preparing my new tunnel, but the weather has been good this week (in central Scotland) & I received my peat free soil improver from @caledonianhorticulture so I've been a busy bee spreading it on the beds & getting all those rannunculus & anemones in.
The willow in the background, I cut recently. I met a lovely lady walking the dog & she mentioned she had loads of willow on her land that she is in the process of selling (wish I'd met her earlier ð) & would I like some...of course I jumped at the chance. This will be used for wreaths & I've rooted some to grow & hopefully make a living willow structure.
