Hi everyone! Fang here. It’s good news. I’m starting to get better. I’m walking like a bit of a drunk but at least now I’m not laying in my own p!
I am being absolutely spoilt with little walks at least 4 times a day and my hoomans are cooking me some yummy foods. I can tell you, I won’t be going back to crappy tins. It’s lamb steaks, chicken portions and liver and bacon for me from now on!
I’ve still got a long way to go, but I’m on day 2 of my recovery since Landons and I’m feeling goooooood!

Pupdate…
Fang Thomas seemed to enjoy his overnight stay at Langford last night. Upon admission he was quite dehydrated and hadn’t eaten properly for 5 days. With a little bit of anti sickness medication and appetite stimulants, he’s now properly hydrated and had a very enjoyable breakfast! He’s also had some treats of patè on crackers.
He has a trendy new harness and pelvic support belt so that we can help him walk and regain some strength.

The neurologist is quietly confident that this isn’t a brain tumor. So we have agreed the treatment plan at the moment is this:
He can come home today and we keep an eye on him over the next two weeks. He will continue to have his anti sickness and appetite stimulant medication.

If he remains stable or starts to improve we accept that this is likely to be vestibular syndrome which he should recover from.
If he gets worse, he will then need an MRI to completely rule out a brain tumor and inner ear infection. At this stage they would also like to do a full body scan to ensure that he doesn’t have anything else sinister going on in the rest of his body which could be shooting off little bits of nasties around his body and up to his brain.

We got Fang home at 5.30 tonight. I could not believe my eyes when he actually stood up and started to walk… and PULL me! I take this as a very good sign of more improvements to come.

We are overwhelmed and so thankful to all of our friends, family and even some total strangers who have donated so far. It has been lovely reconnecting with old friends who we haven’t seen for too long. It would be lovely to see you all for a little woodland walk and catch up when our boy is better.
