Paranormal Activity
This former orphanage for boys, Tuberculosis hospital for children and a soldiers hospital. Having seen so much emotion and trauma there is no wonder that this building has so many paranormal reports. Children crying, feelings of panic, dread and not being alone are common feelings by those that visit this venue.
Sightings of a man that wonders the corridors and doors slamming by unseen hands. This venue is definitely one where the past is certainly making itself known in the present!
Built in 1886. A former boys home, used to house orphans, felons and the children of the workhouse. People generally feel a strange vibe here. Some experience a heavy feeling or dizziness. Doors are often heard slamming closed on their own when no one else is in the building. People have felt numerous cold spots, witnessed things being moved, seen shadows in the passages and heard voices of children yelling and crying.

Paranormal Activity
This building has regular spine chilling reports of hauntings with several spirits residing here. Door slam on their own, crashing noises and crying within the walkways are often heard around the Hall.
A mysterious man, dressed in period costume, has been seen wandering the corridors and he is said to make conversation but vanish in front of people as soon as he appears. Also a lady in white has been witnessed in various bedrooms around the Hall.
The spirit of a starving girl walks the corridors of the Hall. She was once imprisoned in the peel tower where she starved to death. Several sightings have left visitors frozen in fear .

Paranormal Activity
WARNING VENUE CAN BE VERY ACTIVE VENUE !
Mainsforth Miners Welfare was built in 1927 and served the community as Miners Welfare Hall but has also served its time as a hospital during WW2. During the construction of the Hall one of the workers reportedly lost their life in a fatal accident which may be one explanation for some of the spirits that frequent the building. Doors are said to open of their own accord, clothing have been tugged by an unseen force and furniture is said to move of its own accord. A full bodied apparition has been seen several times in different parts of the building and unexplained sounds and growls have been hears. Come and join is and experience the unexplained.

Sleepover Arrangements
The Downstairs of the building will be used for rooms to sleepover. Bring your own blow up bed and bedding and find a comfortable space! We will provide cereal and toast for breakfast at 7am.
