We love the lush green look paired with pretty purples and pinks. A bow of cotton Magellano Ribbon is a lovely finishing touch!

Success isn’t necessarily what you achieve but what you overcome ✨💫

My biggest challenge personally in this trade is the fact I’ve no official floristry training under my belt so my work, my style, and my ability is completely self taught ✨💫

I’m a 100% comfortable with that inside the four walls of The Boom Room and I’ve no shame in admitting to it, but to be then be picked up and catapulted into the fast lane of ambassador life along side ‘professional’ florists put me in a mindset I had to overcome ✨💫

This week alone I’ve worked away on set as part of an amazing project with an absolute dream team of superstar colleagues, and then tied up the set shoot yesterday to discover I’ve been shortlisted as a finalist for British Florist Association ‘Retail florist of the Year 2024’ making it into the top 6 from all nominees nationwide ✨💫

These opportunities were once just dreams, and maybe my self taught story will trip me up at some point but until then I genuinely feel like the luckiest small business, self taught, flower fairy enjoying every minute of reaching for the stars 💫✨

I’ve my own leaflet, with my own QR code, telling my own story, and I’m being sent out inside lorry loads of delivery boxes up and down the country 🥰

Bank holiday Bridegroom Buttonhole🤵🏼‍♂️🤍

Adding a succulent into the grooms buttonhole is my favourite was to preserve memories 💫🤍

It can be rooted after the wedding and the happy couple can forever have a plant that marked their special day 🪴🤍

The thought was there on this occasion, but something tells me this Grooms buttonhole probably didn’t make it as far as the evening reception 🕺🏻😆

Bank holiday begins here 🙌🏼

After a relentless work load these past couple of weeks i’m signing off early for my bank holiday break 🫶🏼

If this couple of weeks have taught me anything it’s we don’t know what around the corner. Life in The Bloom Room has been an emotional rollercoaster, my heart has broke with some customer and been filled with the love of others 🫶🏼

Endless special tributes made 🤍 I’ve been a part of a proposal 💍 Countless gifts complete 💐 and finally finished on delivering the flowers to be a part of my bride and grooms special wedding day wishes ❤️

🐞🐞 13.08.24 - The Bloom Room turns 12! 🐞🐞

It’s taken a Facebook memory to prompt me this year as my work load has seen me miss the memo 🙈 so no styled out big birthday pictures to share today but that’s ok because there’s nothing like a reality behind the scenes photo to give me the realisation of what’s gone into getting me this far 🐞

Im neck deep in flowers as I head straight into a marathon make to see me through to the end of the week… 🐞

Im extra tired and it’s extra tough at times, but what a magical working whirlwind I’m manage to create for my little business I’m super proud to call my own 🥰🐞

An on set shoot was todays Bloom Room adventure 🎬🎥🤍

It’s not every day you’re in a studio in front of a camera conscious of reining in, dare I say, the common Cumbrian accent 🙊🙈😆 but that was today challenge with and I’ve loved every minute 🫶🏼

POV you’re a small business owner, a big brand ambassador and just a girl trying to fit in a social life 🙃😆

Currently sat in Brussels on route to Munich to watch in concert, whilst ploughing through emails and planning my return work for , having worked the clock around in the shop so that I can escape, and having not been to bed since Wednesday evening 😆

The shop is now closed until Thursday as on getting home im heading straight back off the Durham for an exciting shoot 🌿🎥

I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous about a post but then I looked for an image to share my news and this one just seemed appropriate… it’s me… me in my work but with the focus on the flowers 🌿

The awards are open and we have again been shortlisted to run for RETAIL FLORIST OF THE YEAR 2024 🥹

We smashed the occasion in 2022 bringing the title back to our little town and although feeling more pressure going in to this as a previous winner it would mean the world and more to become a two time champion 🥰

I’ve submitted my part of the application to get us to this stage and my fate is now in your hands 🙏🏼

I couldn’t write this Bloom Room life if I tried! 🐞

What happened to my little shop that served the town and made it home at a decent hour of an evening for food and sleep 😆

Today I’m busy away in the shop pushing my comfort zone by being back in front of a camera whilst creating content for my ambassador role (because incase you missed my many memos 😂 little me got selected to work with the amazing company that is 🥰) when the phone rings and it’s the - Retail Director - asking if I’ll be a part of their demonstration team at the two day Fleurex event in Nottingham! 🐞

Here we go again… 🙃 Another challenge but another exciting adventure to the brighter lights for The Bloom Room 🐞

We decided to built an extension 🧱

We moved out 6 weeks ago when they broke through and knocked out the back of my house 🙈

We are set to return home this week 🏡

And I may still have the joiner due everyday for the next week, a utility room that’s still just a pile of boxes, no washing machine and chaos all around but of course I wasn’t moving home without dressing my new island 🥰
