I’ve been meaning to share some photos from Lucy & Nat’s beautiful, vibrant wedding day for weeks (It’s my bonkers busy time and as usual I’m slacking on sharing anything). As massive Star Wars fans it was aptly on May the 4th and guest starred their own, much loved, little Chewbacca. Chewie was expertly cared for on the day by the lovely Jules who provides a fantastic wedding chaperone service for any couples who want their dogs to be part of their day.

Hi I'm Kirsteen and I specialise in documentary family photography capturing lots of beautiful natural moments as well as lovely family group shots. Now the weather is finally (hopefully) getting a bit better, I'm booking summer dates.

Full family shoots last around 60 - 90 minutes so plenty of time for the children to have some fun, run around and play. This means they forget about the camera and your photo gallery will be full of images that are beautifully real.

If you're looking for just a handful of images, I also offer 30 minute Mini Shoots. Short and sweet, these are still relaxed and fun and you'll still receive lots of beautiful images to choose from.

I absolutely LOVED photographing Emma and Cameron's wedding day back in late October. They were just brilliant to be around; gorgeous, funny, relaxed and so in love. Emma got ready at home and they married at Boughton Church, where Emma's parents had also married. They had their reception right next door at the lovely Whyte Melville pub. Friends and family, all under one roof with great food and drinks for a FABULOUS party. All the ingredients for a wonderful wedding day and it really was that and more.

A few images to share from Dinah & Nick’s joy filled day last summer. It was vivid, stylish, colourful, funny, personal and an absolute pleasure to photograph. When I met them in the run up to their wedding to chat through all their plans, I knew it was going to be a fantastic day. A pre-ceremony sing song, fantastic speeches with the best wines and a first dance tango, they made the day their own. And a shout out for yellow DMs, if you've got some, get them worn, they only add to the joy!

I had the absolute joy of meeting this beautiful boy a few weeks ago (and catching up with his lovely parents three years after I photographed their fabulous wedding!) 10 months is such a wonderful age - full of personality, beautiful smiles and new party tricks!

So it’s the 22nd of January and my ‘stop procrastinating on the social media front’ resolution clearly isn’t in top gear…yet!

But so happy to share Part 1 of some of my favourite moments from 2023. A massive heart felt thank you to all the couples and families I’ve worked with, it has been an absolute privilege to be there to share and capture your wedding, family life, happiness and love. Selecting ‘a best of’ is tricky (especially for someone with posting paralysis issues like me!) but this collection is a whole mixture that falls under the banner of images that make me smile. Some are big, beautiful, joyful moments, some quiet, subtle gone in a blink of an eye gestures. There’s lovely light, colours, connections, composition, emotions, family, friends and of course heaps of laughter and love.

PROM PHOTOGRAPHY - Milton Keynes, Northants, Buckingham

End of School Proms are fast approaching (I’ve just been dress shopping with my very own year 11 - so much fun!). I’m now booking for pre Prom photo sessions to capture this memorable moment in time for your school leavers.

Prom photography sessions last around one hour. Perfect for when everyone is all dressed up and ready to go off and celebrate with their friends. Shooting outdoors or in the garden, I’ll take a blend of natural candid photographs, beautiful individual portraits as well as group shots with friends and family.

Images are provided via an online gallery in colour and black and white.

The session fee is £95 and includes three digital images with additional digital images and prints available to purchase. Session fees can of course be shared with a group of friends and then families can purchase their own favourite images.

In the middle of January, it's pretty hard to remember summer! Here's a throw back to the heatwave back in August and Samantha & Jack's beautiful wedding day. The mercury was high but we made the most of the lovely shade dotted around the Courtyard at the Holiday Inn East. The group shots can be seen as a bit of a drag but I'm actually really happy taking them. We whizz through them so it's not endless posing but I say, grab your loved ones and get a pic with them, you'll also have a laugh together while they're being taken. If you've a refreshing drink to have a sip of nearby, all the better! One thing I know from personal experience is that the group shots will mean even more in years to come.

I always to do a pre wedding consultation with couples to chat through the timings of the day and things like groups shots, couples shots, where and when we'll probably do them. So even though we'll have an idea beforehand, I'm more than happy to take any impromptu ones on the day.

Given the intense heat in the early afternoon, we decided, rather than shoe-horn the confetti run in, to move it to after the meal. This worked out great. Everyone had cooled down after a couple of hours in air-con, and even better, the light on the front of the Georgian house was much mellower by early evening. So whether it's tipping with rain, or hitting 100 degrees, we'll work out what's best on your wedding day to get some fabulous photographs and for you to enjoy it to the full!

I'm taking bookings now for 2024 as well as 2023 (still have lots of weekday availability as well as some weekend dates) so ping me an email if you've set a date and I can get some info over to you!

As the thermometer drops here are some more beautiful moments from Chloe & Oli's summer wedding at Flaxbourne Gardens🌿🌿🌿. The dresses, flowers and decorations were gorgeous but what I loved most about the day was just how happy everyone was to be together, to hug, laugh, dance and celebrate the marriage of Chloe and Oli. The joy of finally being reunited with friends and family in summer 2021 - magic to witness and capture for them.
