As we are approaching summer time, I wanted to remind everyone that lives in areas where there are families, especially on a family estate…

LET THE CHILDREN PLAY

If a child kicks a ball into your garden - just throw it back.

If a child wants to chalk on the pavement and play hopscotch - it will wash off.

If a child wants a water fight - water dries.

If a child wants to run around laughing and shouting - it’s good to hear them being so happy.

If you are older or your children are older, remember you were once young, and so were they.

It’s not like “the olden days” - too many children are sitting inside playing on their computers which isn’t always the best thing for them.

After the stress of last few years, life is too short to stress about these things.

If it’s a reasonable time, and no one is having a major rave, dont be remembered as the grumpy neighbour.

Let the children play and make memories.

The MaParty host will organise games, events relating to the theme of the party and host them on the day keeping the children entertained while you are able to get on preparing food or socialising with your guests. The traditional children's birthday party, like we used to have as kids, is hard work for the parents. There's food to make, balloons to blow up, decoration to do, guest to entertain (feed and water), the birthday cake to cut and put in goody bags, tables to lay and, worst of all, a bunch of hyper-active children intent on wrecking your house. You probably want to plan for a party of about two hours; in my experience it breaks down into about 15 minutes of running screaming while people arrive, 50 minutes of games and games and free play for younger parties, 20 minutes of eating (including the cake) and 25-30 minutes more games and handing out party bags and saying good byes.
