Announcment for the 2025 schedule!
This year the May schedule was incredibly crammed. Whilst this didn't affect our usual numbers at The Spring Show, shows arround us saw low turnout and one was sadly cancelled. For the benefit of good competition and most importantly pony welfare we have decided to move this competition to July, a month which often sits empty in this country when no internationals are hosted. The date will be the same date that we held the European pairs on this year which next year is the 12th & 13th of July at Dallas Burston Polo Club. This is something many have asked for to bridge the long gap of no team competitions before inter counties. It may be that when we host internationals in the future we have to use this date for that and revert back to the usual May date but if all goes well with this change this is definitely a date we can see staying permanently in the STRUK calendar.
The STRUK Individuals will not be returning to England in the immediate future. We have managed to incorporate it into this years Rule the world after sadly there was a venue issue for Switzerland. We will announce next years hosts as soon as possible.
On top of this we are also removing the Knights as a stand alone event and the Under 18 and Opens Knights in 2025 will instead run alongside Rule the World in September. The Under 15s Knights will also be incorporated somewhere as well. To bridge the gap for those wanting to get second/novice ponies out in the winter/early spring we will try to add more one day competitions.
This leaves our main calendar in Britain for next year as only the 3 All Weather League team shows and Rule the World with European pairs, the Champions League and STRUK Individuals all taking place abroad.
Whilst we are sad to host less events next year this is a really positive move for the sport to ecnourage good competition and lessen the demand on our amazing ponies. We would like to encourage all other organisations in this country to adopt a similar outlook and not to cram the schedule.
It looks like we are set to finish our 2024 season in fine style with an absolutely chocka Rule the world competition!

Today we announced the race list for this years league starter! Don't forget that for the Pony Club section running alongside our PG Sports UK & Pro Equestrian Theraplate Bedfordshire All Weather League teams will need to provide their own equipment for the races that are not STRUK races. Make sure you have the equipment with you, if you don't have it please order from PG Sports UK who will be at the PC England trial, Welsh pairs and Knights pairs before then!

With Rule the world just over two weeks away we throw back to this touching and emotional moment before the competition kicked off last year. Last years competition took place just days after the sad passing of her majesty the queen. Riders, trainers and supporters gathered together around the beautiful arena at Dallas Burston Polo Club whilst the national anthem played before the 2022 competition got underway.
