I’m doing it all over again!

I’m delighted to share that Morley Town Council has once again asked me to organise and deliver its Christmas Lights Switch-On!

After organising the event previously, I’m really pleased to be back working with the team to bring another fantastic Christmas celebration to Morley on November 28th.

From the planning and logistics behind the scenes, to entertainment, suppliers, event coordination and making sure everything comes together on the day — there’s a LOT that goes into creating a successful community event!

And this year, I’ll be doing it as Stephanie James Marketing & Events Consultancy — continuing to build on my work in event management, marketing, PR and community events.

Yorkshire Day was an absolute triumph!
When planning this event for the council, my primary goal was to create an authentic, community atmosphere. The secret ingredient? Incredible local talent. 🎶Adding live acts completely transformed the energy of the day:

The brass band brought that unmistakable, traditional Yorkshire warmth.🎺
The choir filled the air with powerful, spine-tingling harmonies.

Morley Town Council celebrated Yorkshire Day in style, and it took a village to make it happen! 🎪✨

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the incredible logistical team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our community safe, smooth, and well-organised.Planning a major event is a massive puzzle. Today brought its fair share of challenges, and our frontline teams truly went above and beyond:
🛡️ Security Team: Dealt professionally and swiftly with a high volume of incidents, keeping the environment peaceful and safe for families.

🚑 First Aid Team: Worked non-stop to manage numerous incidents and look after everyone who needed medical care.

🚧 Traffic Management: Coordinating busy arrivals, departures, and keeping Morley’s roads moving smoothly.

Events like this simply cannot happen without this dedicated crew. Event management isn't just about what happens on the day – it's about creating experiences that deliver real results.

Today I'm in Morley setting up the Tea Pot Trail with the team at Morley Market, installing the giant teapots and preparing everything for Yorkshire Day.

The trail has been designed to:
🫖 Encourage visitors to explore the whole market
📍 Increase footfall throughout the building
🛍️ Support local traders
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Create a free family activity that keeps people in the town centre for longer

The best community events don't just entertain; they help local businesses thrive and encourage people to rediscover their town.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone enjoy it tomorrow.

Over the last few years, my work has grown far beyond organising events. Today I partner with councils, businesses and communities to plan, manage and market events from concept to completion.

Over the coming months, you'll start to see more behind-the-scenes insights, event planning, marketing advice and the work that goes into creating successful community events. It's still me, just a brand that better reflects what I do today.
