As one of the most historic buildings in Monmouth, The Priory's famous highlight is the beautiful Geoffrey's Window - a 15th-century oriel window dedicated to Geoffrey of Monmouth.

Geoffrey of Monmouth was one of the major figures in the development of British historiography and the popularity of the tales of King Arthur.

Not only is this window commemorating great historical significance, but its view over the Monnow is something to behold!

ROLE: St Mary’s Church and Priory Site Supervisor
EMPLOYER: Monmouth Marches Ministry Area Council
REPORTING TO: St Mary’s Treasurer
WORK PLACE: St Mary’s Priory Office, Priory Street, Monmouth NP25 3BR
HOURS: 15 hours per week, 3 hours a day, 9.30am - 12.30pm excluding any statutory Bank Holidays and holidays (some flexibility around working hours could be agreed).
HOLIDAYS: Statutory Bank Holidays plus the equivalent of 4 weeks per annum, proportioned to the term of the fixed term.
SALARY: £15 per hour worked paid on a monthly basis following submission of timesheets.

The following are essential requirements for this post
- Proven office-based experience including dealing with members of the public in person or on the telephone.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to operate office equipment.
- Experience using social media as a means of communication.
- Readiness to find constructive solutions to problems or complaints as they present themselves.
- Ability to keep confidential and sensitive information.
- A willingness to undertake any further training that may be deemed relevant to the work associated with this post.

The Site Supervisor does not need to be a member of Saint Mary's Church or indeed any other church but does need to be in sympathy with the work we do.
Whilst we understand the person appointed will probably bring a wealth of experience and fresh vision to the post we would be very pleased to support them in any training relevant to their work.
