The Bloom Room Monmouth Flower shop based in Monmouth, South Wales. We specialise in fresh, funky florals for all occasions!

We opened our doors on 1st October 2016 and every day since then has been a floral delight. We aim to please, always having something quirky and a bit different available to catch your eye. Providing flowers for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, parties, funerals, 'just because'... for any reason really is what we love to do and we'd like to share our passion for flowers with you.

Plenty of deep rich burgundy and cream were just what Jenny and Ross wanted for their Winter wedding at Clearwell Castle.

Jenny’s bouquet was full of oodles of glorious texture and movement, with some absolutely divine roses, deep hypericum berries and lots of different eucalyptus foliage.

Their maid of honour carried a smaller, simpler bouquet, wearable flowers were created and the flowers at the Castle itself just set the scene perfectly.

Here’s a gentle nudge from us that if you fancy something fabulously festive and floral this Christmas we’re here every day and working hard, our final day open this year will be Monday 23rd December. We’ll then be taking our annual break and reopening mid January.

Deep rich burgundy and a soft gentle blush were absolutely beautiful for Lizzie and Jake’s recent wedding at Clearwell Castle.

Lizzie’s bouquet was full of gorgeous blooms and oodles of texture and featured so many fabulous flowers including butterfly ranunculus, waxflower, some incredibly scented garden roses and lovely foliage too.

We made some lovely buttonholes and corsages and their twin daughters were just the loveliest flower girls ever- they each carried a cute little posy.

The sweetest of pale pinks, blues, whites and a touch of Christmas magic were what Lisa and Steve wanted for their recent wedding at The Rolls of Monmouth.

Lisa’s bouquet featured beautiful lisianthus, spray roses, limoneum, eryngium, gyp, waxflower, wintery foliage and some lovely frosted pinecones to bring that little bit of Christmas.

Blue and pink buttonholes were worn by the gents to compliment the bouquet.

Hi folks,

If you have ordered flowers for delivery or collection today we will shortly be calling you to discuss a plan of action.

We will NOT be heading out while the weather is this bad and we really don’t want you trying to get to us just yet either!

We will keep an eye on the forecast and on road closures and do our best but will not be doing anything to risk our lives or those of anyone else.

We love it when we’re given a theme… woodland warmth but make it glitzy and glamorous!!! A HUGE wreath now adorns the staircase Roscoe Rogers and Knight with smaller matching wreaths on the front door and an internal door too- when paired with their lovely window display it’s safe to say that Christmas has arrived!!

Zingy bright orange, luscious burnt orange, a sprinkle of apricot and gorgeous soft grey foliage- autumnal perfect for Helen and Ben and their recent wedding at Clearwell Castle.

Helen’s teardrop bouquet was incredible and the inclusion of freesia throughout meant everything smelled divine.

Their four bridesmaids carried posies including a touch of white, the flower girls all had beautiful floral wands to twirl around and the cluster style buttonholes looked super stylish too.

Last night was the Welsh awards night for ‘The Wedding Industry Awards’ held at St Tewdrics in Chepstow. We came home empty handed which last night was absolutely gutting.

This morning we’ve put our positive pants back on and are putting our disappointment to one side to say… after the year we’ve had, the disruptions we’ve faced and the less than ideal working and delivery conditions… to have made it as a regional finalist was actually a pretty big deal and we’re proud to have got that far.

The atmosphere last night was electric (The Welsh sure know how to celebrate!!!) and to be in a room full of professionals celebrating their success was amazing. I got to take 2 of the best people ever along with me; my bestie of 25 years who has been there since the very beginning of The Bloom Room, who shows up and does anything she can to help especially when I need someone around who knows me better than I know myself; and a newer friend, a florist who I connected with during lockdown, who freelances for me on the busy days and who I know will be a part of The Bloom Rooms story wherever and however it continues to go. Annie and Amy, thank you for all you’ve done and thank you for being the best company this florist could ever wish for last night. 🫶🏻

It was lovely to see people we work with and admire be awarded Highly Commended certificates and collect winners trophies and to meet people who we’ve only ever seen on Instagram! (There was a fabulous “ooooh I know you from Insta moment in the ladies loos!).

I’ll look forward to seeing all the feedback couples left for me in January and learning where the business could improve, but for now, all thoughts of awards go out of the window to get back to concentrating on what we do best; serving our customers, creating awesome moments and memories with flowers and loving what we do.

If you’re getting married and haven’t yet found the florist for you… I might not be award winning but actually… I’m pretty darn good at what I do!!!

Also… Apparently Christmas isn’t that far away…. If you’d like a wreath, table centre, or something festive to gift or enjoy, get in touch. 😆

More Christmassy gifty bits and pieces will be with us soon, along with lovely bulbs and as always we’ll be making our bespoke and beautiful wreaths!

You might have seen on our stories today that we were asked about a wedding bouquet and it left the shop less than an hour later. This is that bouquet. But the request, and being able to help mean so much more than just creating something lovely with flowers. It shows that what we do here is important. It’s why it’s important to keep small independent businesses going. It’s why the high street and what’s available on it are important. It’s the little shops but the big dreams and the truly personal service. It’s why likes, shares, comments and reviews mean so much to small businesses- so that the “oh heck I forgot and I need…..” requests can actually happen!!!

We just need another minute for Martha’s bouquet! 😍 Truly loving all the different textures and all the movement 🤍

Wow, what an incredible year 2023 has been!!! We’ve loved, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried and we’ve worked hard to create something beautiful. To all our lovely flower friends who have bought from us for all your special days, thank you for putting your trust into us and our flowers, whether for a wedding, a birthday, a funeral or a “just because” we really do appreciate you all.
