It’s been a while since I’ve said hello and re introduced myself and seen as I’ve had some wonderful photos back I thought I don’t really have an excuse!

I’d like to introduce myself to our new followers. I’m Julia, the creator, madness and mastermind behind Garthmyl Hall.

Nine years ago, at 27, we bought Garthmyl Hall I was single mum to my two-year-old daughter, Poppy. I had NO experience at all of renovating or interior design or running a business! It was a full renovation project, and my family and I put our hearts and souls into bringing it back to life. Now, I’m fortunate to share its magic with you all.

Here are a few fun facts about me:

I have two children Rupert who is 1 and Poppy 11, a dog named Waffle, and a cat named Fluff.

Before taking on the hall I worked at as a wedding coordinator, they created this passion for weddings and people inside me and I am very thankful for everything they taught me.

I LOVE fashion and have a penchant for buying outrageous outfits. The girls are often borrowing them!

I’m also addicted to makeup, hair accessories, and handbags 🫠 also not ashamed to say I love having some Botox too!

I am very very close to my family and my small but very mighty team of friends.

I enjoy cooking, interior design, and champagne 🍾 my favourite drink is an espresso martini or a glass of Cermant.

I’m lucky to have an incredible team behind me. If you get married here, you’ll work with either myself, Laura, or Lucie. Our reviews speak to the excellence of our team. I hope you can feel the magic of it when you visit us. ✨

With autumn fast approaching I thought we would look at this beautiful wedding from November, which was held in the Ballroom, and they had their ceremony in the Summer House.

Most people opt for a summer wedding but there are also so many great options with a winter wedding…

-Candles! You can’t see this in the summer and they set such a great atmosphere.

-Roaring fires, we have so many fires and it’s so cosy sat in front of one with a glass of mulled wine.

-Leaves changing, this may sound daft one but when the leaves change colour here it really is magic ✨
-Decor, if you opt for a Christmas wedding you’ll have the biggest and most beautifully decorated tree as a back drop for all your photos and friends to see!

-Weather, the pressure for the sun isn’t there you can relax during your planning a lot more!

-Indoor space. Unlike many venues we have so much indoor space to offer with the main bar, cellar bar, sitting room, ballroom , dining room and entrance hall.

-Photos-Did you know that bright sun isn’t the best thing for photographers? Also there are so many incredible spaces inside for photos that can easily get over looked.

Thinking back to this beautiful August wedding last year. Dining under our giant Cedar tree is the perfect spot as it’s shaded from the sun and offers protection from light showers.

Just over a week since this magical event, and the atmosphere was pure magic! 🌟 This stunning video by @nestalloyd captures it perfectly. It started with cocktails in the Summer House adorned with stunning florals by @budfloral & @miasylvia, followed by an incredible feast from @paisleyflour in the Ballroom, with breathtaking decor by @pheasantbotanica. ✨ We were welcomed by @jadorelevie, serenaded by harpist @starttofinish, and danced the night away under a marquee transformed by @miasylvia. A stunning light show by @edtuffin, fire pits, and a sax set the vibe before partying until the early hours in the Cellar Bar. Thank you to everyone who made it unforgettable.
