r guests have to adhere to an early checkout time. In fact, we want to go beyond that and inspire you with ideas that you had never even imagined or thought possible! With no set suppliers, the options are practically endless. You can have the wedding YOU want, not what we dictate. One of the absolute highlights for us is seeing how every wedding we have at Garthmyl Hall is completely different to the last. With autumn fast approaching I thought we would look at this beautiful wedding from November, which was held in the Ballroom, and they had their ceremony in the Summer House.

Most people opt for a summer wedding but there are also so many great options with a winter wedding…

-Candles! You can’t see this in the summer and they set such a great atmosphere.

-Roaring fires, we have so many fires and it’s so cosy sat in front of one with a glass of mulled wine.

-Leaves changing, this may sound daft one but when the leaves change colour here it really is magic ✨
-Decor, if you opt for a Christmas wedding you’ll have the biggest and most beautifully decorated tree as a back drop for all your photos and friends to see!

-Weather, the pressure for the sun isn’t there you can relax during your planning a lot more!

-Indoor space. Unlike many venues we have so much indoor space to offer with the main bar, cellar bar, sitting room, ballroom , dining room and entrance hall.

-Photos-Did you know that bright sun isn’t the best thing for photographers? Also there are so many incredible spaces inside for photos that can easily get over looked.

When the weathers this gloomy it’s the best time to start thinking about your summer wedding!

Thinking back to this beautiful August wedding last year. Dining under our giant Cedar tree is the perfect spot as it’s shaded from the sun and offers protection from light showers.

So many areas you can transform here and we don’t limit you unlike many places. We embrace your creativity and these are the weddings that fill us with so much passion.

Not long to go until our showcase on Sunday 6th October.

We will be opening our doors to show you around all of Garthmyl and what we have to offer as a wedding venue aswell as having a sneaky peak in the brand new Boathouse!

One of the best parts of our showcase is that our 4 caterers provide this incredible menu for couples who’ve yet to chose their caterer. Spaces are very limited and we only have a few places let. If you would like to come along to this please send us a message.

We will also have several areas styled for you to be inspired with and plenty of treats to try along the way. We have some carefully suppliers on hand to help you with your planning journey.

The ever dreamy Walled Garden 🪴 A magic and intimate setting to say your vows, share that first kiss and a glass of something chilled.

The gardens are planted to be in seasonal bloom all year round. So from snowdrops, daffodils, sweet peas right through to roses; we’ve got it all covered.

Not only do they look spectacular they also smell incredible, if we could bottle the scent we would!

We are so excited to invite you to our upcoming Showcase where we will be styling various areas of the hall for you to get inspiration and to get you excited about your wedding! The perfect opportunity to come and see the Marquee, Summerhouse, Dining Room and Walled Garden dressed.

We will also once again be hosting our 4 course taster menu by our 4 preferred caterers. If you’ve not yet booked your caterer and have recently booked your wedding with us or are planning to this is a great chance to see all of the caterers and their style of service and of course their yummy dishes. Due to limited numbers we can only accept couples and we will take a £50pp deposit which you will receive back after attending.

We have some incredible ideas and suppliers on board so don’t miss this opportunity to bring your friends and family and explore all of what we have on offer.

The Sunmer House; the perfect area for the day after your wedding.

It’s becoming increasingly more popular to hire us for an extra day so you have 3 days with us!

All our couples who’ve gone for the extra day of hire have said it was the best day as the pressure is off, you can have a few more drinks and not have to worry and really let you hair down, there’s no formalities and only your closest friends and family are there.

Here is one setting when a beautiful wedding from last summer held an afternoon tea grazing station for their guests, the couple and guests were all from America so they wanted a ‘Very British afternoon tea experience’ and it was the perfect backdrop.

That feeling you have before you walk down the aisle.

Butterflies, nerves, excitement, heart racing and then will I trip up? Can someone fluff my veil? How do I hold the flowers again? Do I go now? Are you sure!?

It’s normal to have all these emotions and to be over whelmed but the difference with Garthmyl Hall is that we support you through all of this, we hold a rehearsal the day before so you and your team know exactly where to walk/sit it’s the most important part of the day so this should be a must, we guide you through everything!

We’ve done so many things to create this moment. Here’s some…baby wiped a brides dress as so got makeup on it, walked a puppy down the aisle, bribed the children with chocolate buttons to walk down the aisle! Stepped in and conducted the ceremony when a registrar broke down (actually loved this!) We also down load all your music onto our phones too just incase…we make sure you are greeted with a drink as soon as you walk back down the aisle and make sure you have some time to yourselves to soak it all in.

We’re opening our BEAUTIFUL gardens to you on bank holiday Monday 26th August 1-4pm

We will be serving cakes, refreshments and yummy ice cream too. Feel free to bring a picnic too!

Tickets are to be bought on the door cash and card £5pp under 16 free.

We politely ask you not to turn up early as we have a lovely wedding here until 12noon.

We have so many beautiful rooms you don’t have to choose the honeymoon suite. We’ve had lots of our lovely couples opt for the Montgomery room and the Boathouse which make stunning backdrops.
