I have been (wonderfully) inundated with messages from you all this week, ready to kick off your wedding planning.

With being back to my day job, a wedding setup this weekend & the Montrose wedding Fayre to finalise, I haven’t had time to reply to you all.

Beautiful autumnal decor at the beautiful a few weeks ago.

Our couple teamed some of our products with their own silk flowers & decor and it looked fantastic! (I know I’m a little biased 😂)

Our copper arch, versatile as always. It took centre stage for the ceremony in the Kirk with white voiles and our couples own floral arrangements, and then a little transformation back up at the marquee for the drinks and evening receptions 😍
Not our usual aisle runner as the carpet is way to big for the Kirk but a lovely single use runner instead.

It’s been so long since our two tone taffeta sashes went out and it was the perfect colour choice! Matched with some rustic decor for the tables with our log slices, bud vases (couples own flowers), gold lantern and gold votive.

Our wooden crates were decorated with our couples own items, and stood next to our rustic wooden postbox.

Finishing off the decor was both of our frosted acrylic signs & copper frames. One for the welcome sign & the other for the table plan. All beautiful finished with the wording by the wonderful Jenny at

It’s been a while since we shared any set up photos! Sorry! It’s been busy busy here for us which is wonderful.
Some photos from a lovely couples wedding who were married back in August! Yes I am that far behind in photos.

A first outing for the new greenery flower wall at the & it looked lovely here. We added our grey sofa and it made a fabulous photo space for everyone.

So sorry everyone but we will be closed again until Monday 😞

I haven’t yet got back to everyone from being closed for our holiday & reopening on Tuesday, but my son had an asthma attack yesterday and we’ve been in ninewells since.
He’s feeling lots better but a we have another nights stay tonight. So we will take the weekend to get him better (he also has his 5th birthday party on Saturday that we need to get him better for), catch up on sleep and we have a beautiful wedding on Saturday to decorate too 😊

Our new flower walls are here 🥳 argh!!!!! We were dying to get at least one up, and I think we always knew this beauty was going to be the first one to be displayed. Photos do not do this gorgeous girl justice 😍 can’t wait for you to see her in person. Excited doesn’t quite come close 😁

One wedding, 2 venues 💕 Our first stop was for the wedding ceremony & meal at the lovely @georgehotelmontrose Ivory satin sashes on our white chair covers for the chairs, cylinder vase centrepieces with ivory floating candles and some fresh greenery for the guest tables, and more greenery, tall stem tealights and bowls to display the wedding bouquets along the top table. Fishing off the room was our ivory blossom tree with hanging globes and silk ivory roses. Then it was on to Montrose Bowling Club for the evening reception. Here we provided tables cloths (we organise these through Gordon’s cater hire), log slices with a mixture of tall stem vases with tea lights & fresh greenery and our hessian jars filled beautifully with flowers from @linda_flowerpavilion Our starlight backdrop finished the stage ready for the band & our custom acrylic welcome sign on copper frame welcomed all the guests. Congratulations to our lovely couple, we hope you had an amazing day ❤️

The sun shone for both our weddings last weekend 😍 and in all of our years providing decor at @balbirniehouse it’s the first time we’ve had a wedding out in their beautiful gardens……hopefully not the last. It was a vision of white for our lovely couples day. With white chiffon drapes, our huge mirror for the table plan, an abundance of fresh white roses & greenery amongst our cylinder vases and floating candles for the tables, as well as along their top table. Congratulations again Emma & Jack. We are so pleased you had a wonderful day ❤️ Thank you for letting us part a part of it x

Our first time to the beautiful @raemoirhouse for an amazing wedding for the new Mr & Mrs Grant ❤️ an absolutely stunning venue with a wonderful team, hope to see you all again. It’s rare that we get to be around and see our couple and all of their guests enjoying the day and celebrating, but it was the second time this month we’ve been able to see our couple on the day, and we absolutely loved it!!! Our black tie wedding with some beautiful silk florals had so many items from our portfolio…..we’ve never seen the van so full 😂 but it was so worth it to see Sophie’s vision come to life. Welcoming the guests was a custom acrylic welcome sign in black lettering on our copper frame, with greenery, a subtle create display and some beautiful disco balls which we absolutely loved! Our gorgeous silk flower arch provided the perfect backdrop drop for the ‘I Do’s’, along with our carpet aisle runner, lanterns, white covers & black taffeta sashes completed the ceremony room. Our flower wall and neon sign was ready to provide a backdrop for some photos later in the evening, & our blossom tree with hanging globes was the centrepiece for the grazing table. Our full length mirror table plan in black lettering, complete with silver lantern & greenery (and of course some more glitter balls), guided the guests into the wedding breakfast room. Where our silk flower centrepieces graced all the tables, along wth tealights, greenery, a single pink rose, and our brand new customised table names. These were in black lettering to match the rest of the signage and we absolutely loved how they looked. Congratulations again to our wonderful couple. We absolutely loved working with the bride and her mum on this decor. Huge thank you to Jenny at @createfourgraphics for our new showroom signage ❤️ Can you spot our Easter window too?? We have been super quiet lately as we’ve also been super busy moving to our new store, counting & reorganising all of our stock! Which is no easy task let me tell you 🤣 We’ve also just purchased some new items, specifically centrepieces, (yeah I don’t know where they are going to go either 🙈) We hope they will be ready for our wedding Fayre at Glen Clova Hotel next weekend to make their debut. Fingers crossed they get here in time🤞

Fairytale Designs is an event décor company owned and managed by mother and daughter team, Gillian & Emma. Our wonderful business started in January 2010 and we have expanded over the last 9 years, taking in a wealth of knowledge and experience. We are delighted to offer a range of table centrepieces including fresh flower arrangements & work with a variety of local suppliers to coordinate everything you need for your wedding or event.

You are welcome to meet with us at our summer house which has a large selection of our products available to view and gives us an ideal space to plan with you. We can also be found at the Wee Weddin Hoose in Keptie Street, Arbroath which hosts a range of suppliers and handmade items ready to buy. It’s a beautiful shop with very talented people who are amazing at what they do.
