A massive thank you to everyone who has messaged asking if we will be bringing back Trick of Treat Town this year. Sadly our planning has been focused on a family wedding taking place this October half term, so you won’t see us in 2022, but watch this space for 2023! 🧙

Wishing you all a magical Halloween and thank you again for all of your support. We hope to be back next year with something really special. ✨

Five weeks to plan a three-night Halloween extravaganza for almost 600 people. When Morpeth Cricket Hockey and Tennis Club asked if we could do it, we couldn’t say no.

We have learnt a thousand lessons along the way, but with the support of amazing people and local businesses, we created an immersive family event right here in the heart of Northumberland.

Whilst we appreciate this is not the Oscars, we have a few massive thank yous to give…

Firstly a huge 'thank you' to each and every one of you who bought a ticket and came along to the event, it couldn’t have happened without you.

Morpeth Cricket Hockey and Tennis Club for giving this opportunity to work with you to create this event and raise funds for your fabulous club where our children all play sports.

Alex Fea who created all of our branding and design. You're a creative Wizard and we will be forever thankful of your support.

Nicky at Thinky Dinky Do for creating the most amazing props - you went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more impressed with your creativity and kindness.

Koast Radio for bringing music and sound engineering to the event - you were all so kind and incredible to ‘go with the flow’ each night! Your patience is most appreciated.

✨ One more sleep until we open the doors to Trick or Treat Town ✨

🎃 Information for guests 🎃

We can’t wait to welcome you to Trick or Treat Town. In advance of the event, please take time to read this information. It is a long one, but it includes lots of important information.

🕸 Arrival 🕸

You are welcome to arrive at the event from 5:30pm to grab a drink and some food (serving throughout the night) The performances will begin at 6pm.

Please note the address for the event is
Morpeth Cricket, Hockey and Tennis Club, 101-103 Longhirst Village, Longhirst, Morpeth NE61 3LL

On arrival, follow the signs to the car park, from which you will make your way to the entrance of the event.

🕸 Tickets 🕸

Please show your Eventbrite ticket on your phone, or print off a copy if you wish. Your ticket will be exchanged for a wrist band that will allow you to come and go as you please. Please, please, make sure that all members of your party have a valid ticket for the event. Both adults and children require a ticket for entry. We are at capacity for this event and cannot sell tickets on the evening. We would hate to turn you away if you have not bought a ticket to attend with your child. Please contact us ASAP if this is the case.

🕸 Dress for the weather 🕸

Please note that this is an outdoor event in October. With this in mind, dress for the weather and wear suitable shoes as the cricket pitch will be muddy underfoot. We also suggest you bring a torch with you.

🕸 Food and drinks 🕸

Hot food will be available to purchase on the evening as well as some sweet treats. The Clubhouse Bar will be open for snacks, hot and cold drinks - both soft and alcoholic! Most vendors and the bar will accept card payments, but some items will require cash.

🕸 Responsibility for children 🕸

Children are your own responsibility, please do not leave them unattended with our performers.

🕸 Photography 🕸

A photographer and videographer will be at the event, if you do not wish to be included in event photography which will be used on social media, website and other marketing promotions please make this known to the photographer who will ensure you are not captured on any footage.

🕸 Toilet facilities 🕸

Toilet and baby changing facilities are located inside the Clubhouse.

🕸 Timings 🕸

Performances and party will end at approx 8:30pm.
The clubhouse will remain open till 10pm.

🕸 Performers 🕸

Our performers are subject to change - although we hope that this doesn’t happen, this current climate we are living in means that someone may come down with an unexpected period of isolation which is out of our control.

🕸 Covid-19 🕸

This event is predominately outdoors however, some performances will take place in a large bell tent and the Club House also provides seating and access to the bar and toilets. We ask that you maintain social distancing wherever possible throughout the event and you are most welcome to wear a face covering when indoors. Hand sanitiser gel will be available in various locations around the event.

Here’s some answers to our most frequently asked questions…

🕸 Do adults need a ticket? 🕸
Yes, adults and children all need to purchase a ticket for the event. We have already sold out on two evenings and we are limited by the capacity at the venue which we cannot exceed. Please check that everyone has a valid ticket as we’d hate to turn anyone away on the night. If you find you have not bought an adult ticket, please message us in advance so we can get you added to the waiting list.

🕸 Is it fancy dress? 🕸
We strongly encourage fancy dress for all of the family. It’s been a long lockdown without much fun, so feel free to go ALL OUT. We will be!

🕸 Can we buy food and drinks? 🕸
Yes, we have hot food to buy, including wood fired pizzas and tacos. We will also be selling popcorn and toffee apples, as well as other sweet treats. Hot and cold drinks will be available to buy in the Club House (soft and alcoholic drinks!)

🕸 Is the event outdoors? 🕸
Yes, the event is outdoors, but some of the performances will take place in a large circus tent. The Club House will also be open and serving drinks during the event. Please dress for the weather - it is a cricket pitch at night, so sensible footwear is a must! You may even wish to bring a torch for those spooky corners you might want to investigate.

🕸 Where is Morpeth Cricket, Hockey and Tennis Club? 🕸
The name is a little misleading as the venue is actually in Longhirst, just outside of Morpeth. It’s where the old Longhirst Hall was (now residential) - follow the postcode on your sat nav and it will take you in some stunning cast iron gates down a beautiful winding road and the venue is on your first left.

Today, Helen and I braved our first radio interview to talk about Trick or Treat Town with Maggie and Lisa on Koast Radio 🎤

We also talked about how we met, how our business began and our vision for bringing amazing, immersive family events to Northumberland.

It’s actually a little bit overwhelming to think about how much we have achieved in such little time.

Wow! We are so lucky to be working with the most incredible local prop designer for our Trick or Treat Town.

Here’s a sneak peak of one of the most magical spell books she’s created for us. We are blown away with the level of detail and creativity! What we love even more is that she’s upcycling lots of materials that would have otherwise gone to waste.

We can’t wait to share the rest of her creations with you!✨📚🪄
