If you are coming along to today’s Coronation Event in Mortimer….Don't Forget BYOG: Bring Your Own (Plastic) Glasses
To help keep today’s Coronation celebration a green, free to attend event. The decision was made by the organisers not to invest in new plastic glasses. Therefore, we need everyone who attends to bring their own (plastic) glasses – BYOG!
If you have a re-usable plastic glass purchased from a previous licenced event, whether it be Burghfest, last year’s Jubilee event or something further afield, such as a past festival, please bring them along. Glasses need to have a measurement mark on them.
We will have a small supply of unused plastic glasses, left over from previous local events, which anyone who doesn’t bring their own plastic glasses may be able to use.
However, you will be charged slightly more for your drink if we have to use one of our “new” plastic glasses.
Come along to the Fairground in Mortimer from 10am. Want to know more, read our ultimate guide to today’s event head over at 👉 https://bit.ly/MortimerCoronation2023

There is £50 up for grabs on Saturday for the best Coronation Themed Decorated Cake at the King’s Coronation event in Mortimer.
Don’t forget you need to drop your cake at the WI stand, located in Market Row on the Fairground between 10:30 - 12:30 this Saturday to be in with a chance of winning 🏆 £50 Best in Show Prize 🏆
The competition will be judged, by a public vote, purely on the decoration. So, don’t worry about the cake, just focus on making it look like a show stopper!
Your cake could look like a crown, maybe an image of the King, or perhaps even the Royal Carriage?
So, as my school Cookery teacher used to say…first the oven, then the tin, wash your hands and then begin!

📣 How Many Royals Fit on The Fairground? 📣
Don’t forget that during the Mortimer Coronation event there will be a children’s fancy dress parade!
Each child taking part will receive a small prize. The parade will be held at 2:35pm. We ask that all children who wish to take part make their way to the main stage at 2:30pm.
We don’t think Mortimer’s celebration can feature too many Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses. So, let’s see just how many little royals can we get onto the Fairground!
