Our aim is to bring local groups together to pursue social goals that serve the wider community. Morton & Hanthorpe Events are a new non-profit group hoping to follow in the success of the Morton Street Fair with a Fete this year on the 9Th July. This brand-new event will be held on the Morton playing field in a joint venture with Morton School. The Street Fair was originally organised to commemor

ate the Millennium but due to its roaring success it actually ran for an amazing twenty years. The committee decided to retire gracefully after years of dedicated organising and along with the prospect of a pandemic it seemed that Morton suddenly has lost its community feel good factor that many look forward to each year. It seemed fitting that similar to the street fair that a new community event should be organised to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. To this end a new committee was formed with representatives from village community groups to put together an event to mark this most momentous year. The event will centre around the Playing Field at the back of the school, on the school site and in other venues around the village. Events run throughout the day from 10am until 4pm with something for everyone with live music, refreshments, craft stalls and family entertainment.

Sorry if this has caused any inconvenience, but we have reverted back to our usual first weekend of July in line with previous years.

We are sooo excited that the hugely talented Nicky- Female Vocalist will be performing in our very first 'Morton Fete Rocks' event. 😁🎙

For those who don't know, Nicky is a local girl but due to her popularity and covering a wide variety of genres her bookings take her countrywide especially on a weekend, so we are thrilled to have her here. 🙌🥳🎤

Nicky- Female Vocalist will be live on stage at 6.30pm reeling off some tunes to kick off the party and get the dance floor buzzing.
