another day working on the truck. The refurbished alternator has been re fitted, the original batteries back in place and the twin electric fans all fitted and connected up. Back on the road again! Just waiting for the tyres now and then I can have her serviced and MOT'd :)

My first batch of Ion Bru finished! 24 down 476 to go! I plan to make up to 500 bottles for Fantasy Forest. Buy the bottle of drink from Mhorish, enjoy your refreshing Ion Bru, return the glass bottle for your deposit back. Keep the bottle cap and trade it with me in the Post Apocalypse camp. Bottle caps will also be available from Skian Mhor.

and back to working on the truck; removing the big mechanical fan caused another couple of problems, spacing the water pump pulley and tensioning the four belts but the pair of fans are fitted at last. Tomorrow I'll put the repaired alternator back on and then I have to connect up the fans. Hopefully the Truck should be back up and running Thursday or Friday! Just waiting for the new tyres then and a July MOT.

I'm looking for set-up and take-down crew for Mhorish at Empire and CP Renewal. Are there any players out there who want to spend a couple of days before and a couple of days after each event helping out. We need a couple of fit and able bodies swinging hammers and loading/unloading as we're not getting any younger and need some assistance. Food and accommodation provided during set up and takedown and food and player ticket for time in. (Please PM me if you can help out rather than commenting on this post). Thanks

Hi everyone, I have the same appeal as yesterday as a last minute hope, we failed to get the tents down yesterday but we have to try today, The van will be on site within the hour at Dadford, is there anyone close to Dadford (Silverstone) who can be there within the hour (by about 13.30?) and give a couple of hours hard labour to take tents down and load them into the van/container? PM me if possible.

Do I know any able bodied people that live in the Silverstone/Northampton area that could help out at Dadford (Empire site) this afternoon. We still have tents on the field and only one able body to take them down, pack them and put them into storage. Diz is struggling getting everything sorted and will have to be back on site later to get the last of the Mhorish tents down. Any help wold be appreciated

I got home with the Truck, running on battery alone with no working alternator. I have a spare (older and smaller) alternator but it's the classic "one job leads to another" scenario! The old alternator only has one belt and the mounting brackets are slightly different. I have to find the old mounting plate and then remove the cooling fan and housing to remove the extra belt. I needed to change the fan anyway so it might be a good thing . . . The truck is currently partly stripped whilst I look for parts. Wish me luck :)

It's that expensive and time consuming time of year again! Tent maintenance.
Thanks to Mark Royal of the Cotton Tent Company for repairing all my damaged canvases and making some new pieces for me a few weeks ago, we're currently stripping and varnishing the main tent poles before moving onto all the guy ropes. It's an endless task maintaining canvas tents and marquees but hopefully it will be worth it when we pitch up at Anvil in a few weeks time.

We're all finally home after a great weekend at Fantasy Forest Festival at Sudeley castle. The van reached Muirkirk at 03.30 this morning, very tired and needing a break but we still have the van to unload and food and freezers to sort out, all the kit to clean and organize ready to head out again on Monday! Thank you to the Festival organizers for making all the tough decisions and keeping our crew and customers safe, and thanks to Rievers Gallows for keeping us entertained during the storm; can we do it again some time?

That's the Mhorish container loaded and on board, the trailer is also loaded and ready to hit the Motorway tomorrow. We'll finish the van and trailer tomorrow and then we'll be heading South!

Back home after Empire and now we'll be cleaning, repairing and reorganising before we head down to Fantasy Forest. Let's hope it's a bit cooler than last year so that we can get our Pirate gear on!

Mac and Cheese, Vegan curry and rice

Friday morning:
6 item breakfast, 3 things in a thing, porridge
Friday Lunch:
Pork in Cider, Beef curry and rice, sweet potato chilli with rice.

Friday Breakfast: Our infamous 6 item breakfast, 3 things in a thing (breakfast bap/roll/barm/whatever you call a bread thing), porridge, and fruity porridge.
Friday Lunch: Teriyaki Chicken and Rice, Vegan Pasta Arabiatta.
Friday Evening: Hunter's Chicken BBQ Pasta (with optional cheese) and Vegan Dahl and Rice.

Saturday Breakfast: As above
Saturday Lunch: Sweet and Sour Pork with Rice, Vegan Thai Green Curry with Rice
Saturday Evening: It's Haggis Night!! We'll have meaty haggis, vegan haggis, mash (and vegan mash), neeps, and whisky cream sauce or vegan gravy.

Thursday Evening: Beef Curry, Vegan Dahl
Friday breakfast: 6 item breakfast (fry up with multiple options and vegan alternatives), 3 things in a thing (breakfast roll/bap/barm/muffin/breadobject) porridge, fruity porridge.
Friday lunch: Chicken and Chorizo Bake, Sweet and Sour Pork, Sweet and Sour Tofu
Friday evening: SATAY (y’all are welcome 😂), Bangers and Mash, Vegan Sweet Potato Chilli
Saturday breakfast: as above, with Kedgeree later in the morning.
Saturday Lunch: Chicken Teriyaki, Pork in Cider, vegan Pasta Bolognese.
Saturday Evening: It’s Haggis Night! Normal and veggie haggis will be available. We’ll also have carbonara for those not haggis inclined.
Sunday breakfast: as above, with Kedgeree available later in the morning.
Sunday lunch: beef chow mien, vegan fried rice.
