Now that she's checked out I can talk about it: I was so thrilled to find out that the author staying at Monkton House last week to plan out her next book was none other than the amazing Victoria "V.E." Schwab! I embarrassed myself with a fangirl squeal, the creator of "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" was in my castle! And she left me a couple of autographed books: "For Anna, I remember you"… I bet she says that to all the girls. 🤩📚✨

🌱🌦️🎋 Imbolc 🌱

1st February, the first day of Celtic spring, when we start to come out of hibernation, the early flowers start appearing, and the world feels renewed.

Closely followed by mud season, of course!

Officially, the beginning of spring may only come on 21st March, but she's definitely starting to wriggle her fingers and toes and to think about waking up.

Catching up on admin and messages whilst sitting on the toilet, that is! Or is it just me? I do find that the antique Victorian toilet adds to the whole experience 😂
