The finals for the club competitions are being held on Sunday 15th October. Refreshments will be available and the bar open from 12 noon. Good luck to all the finalists.

The quarter finals, followed by the semi finals, of the ladies 2 wood triples will take place at Fleckney Bowls Club on Sunday 11th August. Good luck to Liz and the team from Narborough who will be playing Syston. Refreshments will be available if anyone wishes to go along to support them - arrive 9.30 a.m.

Narborough was delighted to host the County match between Leicestershire ladies and Northamptonshire ladies with Leicestershire ladies coming out as winners.

Narborough & District Bowling & Social Club will be joining Narborough and Littlethorpe Community Event on Saturday 15th June From 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. (Connecting Narbrough - community event). Come along and speak to Ian to discover the range of social activities available in addition to being a bowls club.

The weather on Sunday for our Big Bowls Weekend Open Day was very kind despite the gloomy forecast. A few photos of the day, provided by Paul, are attached. Thanks to all the visitors who came along to "have a go" and to the many members for their help in welcoming the visitors, setting up the green and providing refreshments and words of encouragement.

Narborough & District Bowling & Social Club will once again be participating in the Bowls Big Weekend. The open day will be on Sunday 26th May from 11.000 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Come along to try traditional bowls, the new bowls bash format or have a go at target bowls. The only requirement is that you wear flat soled shoes.

The culmination of the 2023 season's bowling was the presentation lunch on Sunday 10th December at the Club. The 15 competitions produced 12 different winners. Congratulations to all the winners with commiserations to the runners up and a big thank you to all those who took part as well as the competition secretaries for organising the event and all who helped by marking and supporting through the various rounds. The excellent 3 course lunch followed by mince pies and coffee was provided by Wycliffe catering who also donated a very generous prize of a 3 course Sunday lunch for 4 people. The wine for the lunch was donated by President Jackie. Thanks also to Brian and Ian for looking after the bar, everyone who helped set up the room and clearing away after, for donating prizes for the raffle, and to M.C. Phil for his timely use of the gavel to keep the proceedings moving. President Jackie's charity of her year in office was Hope against Cancer, a Leicestershire and Rutland charity with a trials unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary. Fund raising throughout the year raised £1577 and President Jackie thanked all for contributing and captain Phil for his judicious use of fines before presenting Tim from Hope Against Cancer with a cheque.
