2023 was the 100th anniversary of Narborough Bowls Club.

Don't forget the Christmas Bingo this Saturday 7th December followed on the 21st December with the Christmas Band Concert.

It's a busy time at the club at present. On Saturday 30th (St. Andrew's day) there was the Christmas Fayre - thanks to all who helped organise the event and to everyone who came along to support the event. On Sunday 1st December it was time for the Presentation Lunch to celebrate the various club competitions with congratulations to the winners and commiserations to the runners up and all the bowlers who took part in the competitions. There was an excellent three course meal, (supplied again by Wycliffe catering) including wine or soft drinks, followed by coffee and mince pies and of course Christmas crackers. Thanks again to everyone who helped organise the event.

The finals for the club competitions are being held on Sunday 15th October. Refreshments will be available and the bar open from 12 noon. Good luck to all the finalists.

The quarter finals, followed by the semi finals, of the ladies 2 wood triples will take place at Fleckney Bowls Club on Sunday 11th August. Good luck to Liz and the team from Narborough who will be playing Syston. Refreshments will be available if anyone wishes to go along to support them - arrive 9.30 a.m.

Narborough was delighted to host the County match between Leicestershire ladies and Northamptonshire ladies with Leicestershire ladies coming out as winners.

Narborough & District Bowling & Social Club will be joining Narborough and Littlethorpe Community Event on Saturday 15th June From 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. (Connecting Narbrough - community event). Come along and speak to Ian to discover the range of social activities available in addition to being a bowls club.

The weather on Sunday for our Big Bowls Weekend Open Day was very kind despite the gloomy forecast. A few photos of the day, provided by Paul, are attached. Thanks to all the visitors who came along to "have a go" and to the many members for their help in welcoming the visitors, setting up the green and providing refreshments and words of encouragement.

Narborough & District Bowling & Social Club will once again be participating in the Bowls Big Weekend. The open day will be on Sunday 26th May from 11.000 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Come along to try traditional bowls, the new bowls bash format or have a go at target bowls. The only requirement is that you wear flat soled shoes.
