A pleasurable pleasure fishing session today White Springs Fishery!! I was lucky enough to be allowed to sit on the mighty specimen lake… on the soil shed peg!! The plan was to hunt for some of the big bream that lurk in the lake… but instead my hookbait was hunted by a herd of Perch!! Stunning mixed bag of proper roach, good skimmers as well as the stripeys!!

What a venue Whitesprings is!! Heading back down for another session tomorrow!!

Next slide 🛝 to Scotland for Team Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🎣. This weekend the Scots host the Celtic Cup at Strathclyde Rowing Course 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Format for this competition is to FIPSed rules, teams of four and each team is only allowed to field one full international (fished a world or European champs)per team. Each country can field as many teams as they want.
Its fantastic for the development of new guys coming through and you only have to look at the success of the likes of Ty Woods who fished this years euros and Steve Roberts who fished both the euros and worlds. Both Ty and Steve turned in brilliant performances….These lads were unearthed in last years competition and gives huge encouragement to all of the squad especially with places up for grabs in next years events. I always intended to make fishing for Wales as accessible as possible and we now have a far bigger pool of lads who want to fish at full international level.
