Our beautiful specials this week:

Salami, crumbled goats cheese, red pepper and cherry tomato served on a bed of seasonal leaves and basil.

Asian noodle salad with jackfruit, glass noodles peanuts, chilli, carrots, ginger, spring onion served with coriander and mint and pickled onion.

Rosemary roasted potatoes and pepper hash, with garlic, breaded, green beans and fried eggs, served with paprika mayo.

We are so excited to introduce you to the lovely Tim Gray, our new cafe manager! 👋🏼

For many of you, Tim will be a familiar face - Tim spent 18 years running the successful pub The Yew Tree in Wield and more recently, was the head chef at Long Barn in Alresford.

Tim comes with exceptional experience and incredible passion for excellent food and thoughtful and conscientious customer service; you’ll be hard pushed to find him without a big smile on his face and a warm greeting.

We’ve been spritzing & sprucing ready for this Friday night’s cocktail & street food, 6-10pm, come & join us 🍃🥳

A Yard team street food offering of jambalaya, Sri Lankan aubergine curry, red Thai prawn noodle soup will be served straight out of the kitchen accompanied by some gorgeous seasonal cocktails by the talented : homemade elderflower spritz with Prosecco, Cacao Negroni & Basil Daiquiri will headline, and you can top it all off with our freshly made gelato & sorbets, some fantastic flavours being made this week 🍨😀.

Exciting news! Due to popular demand we are very excited to announce that we will soon be opening on Wednesdays and extending our opening hours on a Friday until 7pm for Friday evening drinks, starting the first week of July!

We will of course still be doing our usual cocktail evening the last Friday of the month until 10pm 🍸

We can’t wait to see a bit more of you and welcome you for a coffee, cake, brunch, cocktail or maybe even some homemade gelato 🥰🥂☀️

Thank you to everyone who came to hear play at the Yard last night. It was incredible. His pared-back, piano-led set delivered a raw and immersive soundscape which filled every inch of our old barn, whose walls have heard many stories. Tokio added his own last night: the haunting & powerful ‘Underwater’ telling of his terrifying experience in the Philippines.

Tokio was introduced to the Yard through his agent , and fell in love with the space after filming his single ‘Malaya’s Song’ here last year. It was at his request that the Yard be included as a venue on his tour, lucky us.

Huge thanks to & for believing in our team & loving our space, to for making it all happen, to the Yard team for always pitching in, to for their creative lighting and to for the amazing shots.

We’ve been assured that will return, until then, watch ‘Malaya’s Song’ if you haven’t caught it yet, it’s magical 🫶🏽

Today is ’s last shift with us after an incredible 4 years at The Yard. 🤍

Alice joined us at the very beginning of our journey and has been an integral and very much loved part of our family. From managing the cafe and the team, sporting the best outfit of the day, to fixing electrical appliances, and overseeing socials, Alice has been at the heart of it all.

Alice’s kindness and care has made The Yard what it is today and we couldn’t be more excited for Alice as she moves on to new adventures with a wealth of experience and many friends! 🙏🏼🥰
