What a lovely tradition of giving Lilly of the Valley posies on May Day for luck! 💚🤍💚

Happy 1st May.

May Day is celebrated in France by giving posies of lily of the valley to family and friends to bring them good luck. The more tiny bells, the better the luck! So here are a few pretty sprigs from me to you. On an ironstone Parisian lily of the valley serving plate, bien sûr!

I have a little stem tucked into my buttonhole for the Sunday morning’s Brocante treasure hunting. Wish me luck!

Having contracted the dreaded COVID-19 sadly my Spring Planter Workshop has had to be cancelled.
However not one to disappoint I’ve managed to organise DIY kits for all my ladies.
This little lot is being collected contactlessly later today!

So I have some VERY BIG news!
I’ve been very honoured and given the fabulous opportunity of Managing Newarks brand new Dog Superstore K9 by Natural World.

This sadly does mean that my Floristry will be taking a back seat for a little while until I get settled in my new role and work out how I’m going to manage a Full time Job and my Flowers!
To all my clients who have orders / weddings booked please don’t worry, your orders will be fulfilled with as much care and attention as always.
My Workshop on the 26th March IS going ahead and still has spaces available if you’d like to join us.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful customers and suppliers for your support over the past 2 years, I will be continuing just on a smaller scale temporarily.

And of course if you have any K9 members of the family please do pop along to our fabulous new store we’d love to see you and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do!

Beautiful Oxlips (Primula elatior)
These humble woodland plants have the most delicate pale lemon blooms and are so much prettier in my opinion than their gaudier yellow common cowslip cousins (Primula veris).
I have a large healthy patch of Oxlips under my Crabapple tree and they are looking absolutely stunning right now!
Did you know the Oxlip is the Official Flower of Suffolk?

Fragrant Spring Planter
Bridal Crown Narcissi, Muscari, Purple Sage, Thyme and Ivy with Lichen Twigs in a Washed Willow Basket.
These look a little plain now but give it a few days and she’ll be blooming and smelling divine!
