Cox Catering is on the lookout for a talented, driven Chef to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, embraces variety, and takes pride in delivering top-quality food – whether in a fully equipped hotel kitchen or a basic field setup.
🔥 What We’re Looking For:
We want someone who:
• Can work under their own initiative in a fast-paced and often high-pressure catering environment.
• Is adaptable and confident working at diverse locations – from luxury venues to rustic outdoor kitchens.
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for food.
• Ideally holds a clean driving licence for travel to various event sites.
🧭 Base Location:
You’ll be based at our production kitchen in Newark-on-Trent, with travel to off-site venues as needed.
🕒 Hours:
This is currently a part-time role, with flexible hours depending on event schedules.
However, for the right candidate, there is potential for this to develop into a full-time position.
🍳 Key Responsibilities:
• Support kitchen operations: Assist in managing day-to-day activities from prep to service.
• Food preparation: Deliver dishes to high standards of quality, taste, and consistency.
• Menu development: Bring creative flair to the table and help craft seasonal menus.
• Stock control: Help manage inventory, control waste, and ensure stock levels are cost-effective.
• Hygiene compliance: Ensure all food safety and health regulations are met at every site.
