Claypole Village Hall is available to hire for community groups, events, parties, wedding receptions.

Facilities include: large main hall with vintage features, a stage, servery, ample parking, a field/paddock & beautiful gardens. Claypole Village Hall is an early 20th century 'arts and crafts' style building with beautiful period features, making it a great venue for wedding receptions, parties, fairs, events, as well as being a fantastic community space. r Harry Coulby, a Claypole-born man who made his fortune in shipping in the USA but never forgot his roots in the Lincolnshire village. As well as the impressive main hall (which features a stage & servery/bar area), there are beautiful gardens, a large grassed area (suitable for a marquee), ample parking and a children's play area. We are also lucky to have The Side House Coffee Shop in the adjoining former caretaker's cottage - well worth a visit for breakfast, lunch or coffee & cake. The Hall is a charitable trust and run by a management committee, rather than by the local Parish Council. 🙋HELP AT THE HALL - WE NEED YOU! 🙋
We really need more help managing the Hall and making sure it continues to be a well used and well loved part of our community.
Have you heard of microvolunteering? It's when you help out in your local community on a one-off basis or with a small task. We've put tgether a list of things we need help with - please take a look and see if there's anything you can do or would like to get involved with. It could be:

We had a surprise visitor yesterday. Chris was riding his vintage WWII bike down Main Street, when he spotted “Cleveland, Ohio” (his home town) on the date stone of the Hall. Not something he was expecting in this neck of the woods!!
We shared with him the story of Harry Coulby and he knows the town and lakes where Harry spent his adult years.
Chris is currently based with the RAF in Lincolnshire as a member of the US Air Force and he was on a training ride for his Royal Air Force Association fundraising challenge - 50 miles on that amazing bike (only 1 gear, very heavy and not built for comfort!!)
It was lovely to chat and hear about Chris’s challenge and his time in Lincolnshire, and he is returning soon to take a look at some of our VH treasures and memorabilia.
