The Hightowns perform their opening song, The Midnight Zone, live at The Argyle Rooms house concert on 2nd December 2023. Thanks so much to all of those who came, despite very chilly weather! We had such a great evening!

Our next house concert is on 2nd December and it’s going to be a doozy double header. Let me introduce you to Brick:

Brick are Bridie Jackson and Nick Pierce. Bridie is a composer and singer. Nick is a viola player. The duo started making music together during the first Lockdown of 2020, and they now write and produce ‘dreamy acoustic music’ with the occasional synth from their home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Brick self produce their music to critical acclaim; their first single Blanket of Love was rated ‘Demo of the Month’ in NARC magazine in August 2023 and received radio play on BBC Introducing Radio Newcastle.

Brick also produce soundtracks for contemporary dance and theatre productions, and in July 2023, were commissioned by The Customs House Theatre (South Shields) to create the soundtrack for a dance production of Antoine de Saint -Exupery’s beloved children’s book The Little Prince, which fused song, acoustic, electronic, ambient and folk influences.

A reminder of our next Argyle Rooms house concert. 2nd December from 7pm. PM me to reserve your space today!

We’ve a couple of intimate full band shows coming up in December.

We’ll be playing The Argyle Rooms in Newbiggin on Dec 2nd alongside the ace Brickband (holds a whopping 25 - message us for more deets) and the iconic Low Lights Tavern in North Shields on Dec 29th, which possibly holds a few more… but not many.
