After wins at Notts City Regatta, strong results at Met Regatta and qualification in Championship 8s at HWR, our women’s 8 looks to continue their successful season tomorrow taking on Upper Thames RC at 19:00.

With four Henleys in the top 4, Tom Campbell and Alex Shaw welcome a new pair into the project, with 16 past appearances between the whole crew. After a successful season so far, including 5th out of domestic Wyfold crews at the Metropolitan regatta, Tyne a take on London ‘B’ at 17:40 today.

⚪️⚫️⚪️ Henley Women’s Regatta

Last weekend our senior and junior squads sent 5 crews to HWR.

Friday saw our Championship 8+ successfully qualify against fierce competition followed by a strong race against Edinburgh University in the heats. Our Club 8+ and Development 4+ both posted impressive results in the TTs, but unfortunately did not make it through to side by side racing.

Saturday saw our Junior 4+ (A) crew taking a seeded position after the TT, and sailing through their first heat. The girls put up a great fight in the quarter finals, with Clydesdale RC taking the win by just 3/4 length. Our Junior 4+ (B) crew had a great TT, finishing as 3rd fastest non-qualifiers.

After an exciting weekend, we now look ahead to Henley Qualifiers this Friday, with our 2 Thames 8+ crews hoping to join our prequalified Wyfold and Wargrave crews.

We are excited to announce our 5 crews racing at HWR, entered in Championship 8s, Club 8s, Development 4s and Junior 4s.

After some strong showings during regatta season so far, we are looking forward to seeing what our women can do this weekend.

This weekend a contingent of our masters squad travelled down to Nottingham for British masters champs, entering 7 events. We had some strong showings, including the tightly contested open Masters E 4- with only 2.6 seconds between the top 3 crews!

⚪️⚫️⚪️ National Schools Regatta

Last weekend our Junior Squad travelled down to Dorney Lake for a very successful weekend of racing at NSR. Both crews had fantastic time trials and strong performances in their finals:

Ch 4+ (Girls) - 5th in A Final
Ch 1x (Open) - 6th in E Final

The squads now look ahead to a busy weekend of racing with crews travelling to Hexham and Metropolitan Regatta, plus crews racing at home on the Tyne as part of our Sunday League!

Well what an absolutely fantastic weekend started by The Missing Cats Duo finished by Peter Endacott aka mudskipper and who can forget Sophie's Charity Hair Cut for Little Princess Trust who raised an absolutely amazing amount of £1700 for an amazing charity well done,we would also like thank everyone who came and supported us this weekend .
