We are looking for a fabulous florist to join our team! Initially for 12 months to cover maternity leave. You must have at least 2 years floristry experience preferably in a flower shop. The role is varied, you will be confident in making gift bouquets, funeral flowers and wedding designs, be comfortable speaking to customers face to face and on the phone. Ideally you will have a full clean driving licence too. This is a full time position and includes weekend work as required. May suit a freelance florist.

Before and after! Yesterday we revealed our Christmas window for 2024 at 6pm with an enthusiastic audience taking part in the The Newbury Living Advent Calendar. This years theme is Woodland Wonderland! Thank you to everyone who turned out for the reveal it was 15 minutes of fun and who doesn’t love a Christmas coundown! X

Hello EVERYONE! We have a last minute change to the programme! Sadly Rufus Independent Coffee House won’t be able to host this year (though do go admire their amazing windows!) so instead on the 15th December at 3:10pm (so we can scoop up anyone who doesn’t hear of the change!) we have The Coat and Bear (which is just down the road at 28 Bartholomew Street!)
It’s brilliant that The Coat and Bear have been able to step in—I am excited to see what they come up with… ❄️💙❄️

We thought you might like to see these stunning celebration flowers we recently made for a local black-tie event. The flowers arranged included salmon euphorbia, red explorer roses, kangaroo paw, kalimba salmon blooms, rose hips, peachy phoenix roses and more!

Come and join us on the following dates for our creative Christmas Wreath Making Workshops!

We are delighted to be collaborating with again this year in their welcoming and cosy restaurant. Come and join in the festive fun on Friday 29th November, there are two sessions available on the day, the first is at 3pm and costs £60.00 per person which includes mince pies, tea and coffee and the second is at 7pm and is £65.00 per person and includes a glass of Prosecco and mince pies. All materials are included to make a naturally beautiful wreath to adorn your front door and we are on hand to guide you all the way.

Alternatively come along to on Tuesday 3rd December or Wednesday 4th December, where the lovely Cate is our host for more wreath making fun in her fabulous craft shop. Each session starts at 6.30pm and costs £50.00 per person and will include light refreshments and all the materials you need to make your own front door masterpiece. Please call Cate on 01635 860900 to book your spaces.

All workshops are suitable for beginners.

Autumnal vibes are in store now along with a cheeky bit of spooky courtesy of our cute vampire gonks. We absolutely love this time of year, the flowers and foliages are so rich in colour with beautiful textures and shapes especially the specimen chrysanthemum blooms which are very special and at their absolute best right now.

For the first time ever on Saturday 8th June the UK floral industry has its very own special day National Florist Day.
Now as far as we are concerned here at Willow & Blooms every floral day is a special day but it is pretty amazing to know that 100's and 100's of other florists across the UK will be marking this day on their calendars annually and celebrating their skills, talents and knowledge.
We are very proud to be florists here Newbury and it never ceases to amaze us how truly wonderful flowers are. x
