FEBRUARY AT LAST…

January has not been filled with super of amounts physical flowering, instead it has been all about meeting and speaking with endless wonderful new couples for this year and next and talking about all things floral. Whilst playing with flowers is the thing that brings me alive / makes me tick, the past month has reminded me how much I love meeting new couples and hearing their wedding ideas and tuning into their vision. This then leads to the first step of the creative journey; capturing their ideas and working with them every step of the way to turn their vision into a reality in a proposal and quote. Hearing their enthusiasm and excitement is part why I love doing what I do.

So, thank you for all the wonderful enquiries, I sincerely look forward to every wedding and event that lay ahead of me this year - very excited for 2025.

So, if you would like to create your own luxurious Christmas wreath to adorn your own door - then come and join me for an intimate luxury wreath workshop evening in the warm comfort of my studio for a festive soirée.
Access to an array of stunning seasonal fresh foliages, berries, dried fruits to name just a few, this coupled with a glass of mulled wine, Prosecco and sweet festive treat and my personal hands on step by step guidance - the perfect way to embrace the start of the festive season.

Welcome 2024 ..

A bit late to the party, the past couple of weeks have been about rest, recover and restart .
REST - being able to spend quality time with my family and friends and embracing some much needed Cornish sea air - memories are made of times like these.
RECOVER - taking a big deep breath, sitting down and taking a moment of reflection on all the amazing weddings and events I have had the pleasure of working on over the past 12 months - feel so incredibly fortunate to have been able to spread some floral magic.

RESTART - the past couple of weeks have been spent catching up with all the numerous new enquiries for this year, next year and beyond - feeling incredibly excited about all that lays ahead this year.

It is official, wreathing week has begun.
This year more than ever I have learnt to be so thankful for family, friends, health and happiness. Things that I know we can all take for granted so easily. I appreciate that this time of year there are many people in different situations, hence this year for every wreath order I receive I will make a donation to the homeless charity in Newbury.
So as of today my handmade seasonal wreath order book is open. So if you fancy having your very own fresh handcrafted wreath to adorn your door and help make a little difference to those who need - then please do DM your orders.

WREATH WORKSHOPS 2023
November is nearly upon us, which means it’s that magical time of year again, where we start to embrace the festive season.
There will be a wonderful selection of gorgeous seasonal foliage, berries, scented herbs, dried fruits - to name just a few. Enhanced with a glass of mulled wine or Prosecco and a minced pie - is an absolute must and essential.
Evening workshops are available on the following dates

Price is £60.00 per person which includes all wealth of materials and seasonal refreshments.

I just wanted to share a slightly different post today.
2 weeks ago, the eve of 2 weddings on Saturday. It had been a long few flowering days and late into the evening just doing the finishing touches. When I was interrupted by my son shouting “Bella’s room is on fire!” Thinking he was being overly dramatic but no … her room was on fire! You can’t begin to imagine the horror as Al and I rushed upstairs to find smoke and Bella’s room ablaze with 2-3’ flames. Al grabbed a throw and launched into the full bath water abs dowsed the flames whilst imported buckets of water on it. Words cannot describe the shock and emotion which hits us all. Unfortunately poor Al’s hands and lungs took the brunt, with nasty burns and smoke inhalation, thanks to the fire service abs ambulance crew, the remaining smouldering fire was made safe and Al packed off to A&E .
So,k there I was, a house full of 2 fire crews and 3 ambulance staff, 2 traumatised children, a dog, a trashed and smokey upstairs.. plus 2 weddings to finish. Thanks to the wonderful kindness and support of our friends .styles.961 taking in the children and dog. I then found myself having to dig deep and find the inner strength to finish the final flowering touches and ensure everything would be perfect for the day ahead. It was then off to collect husband from hospital and then back home for 03:30 for a couple of hrs of smoke odour sleep! Some how, I was all set and ready to leave the house at 6am as planned, with bandaged husband in tow to help. Sincere thanks to my freelancer Bex for stepping up and setting up my wedding for on her own - very grateful for all your help. Also thanks to the amazing team at for all your help and support for wedding no.2.
This is not about asking for pity, moreover it is about sharing with you how sometimes life can throw you a curve ball. I now realise how incredibly lucky and thankful we are - things could have been very different!
When you run your own business and are relied upon for playing such an important part in someone’s wedding day - the show must go on!
Now it’s time to relax, gather ourselves as a family and enjoy some Canary island sea air!

HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY x
A sincere thank you to everyone who has placed an order for Mother’s Day with me. It has been a true pleasure to have a flowering marathon and create so many bouquets for so many very special mums- so thank you.
Up bright and early this morning to create the very last two from my own mum and mother in law - you could say the best for for last.
Thank you once again, now looking forward to spending time with my beautiful family and very importantly my own mum at the nursing home - precious moments to be treasured. ###

Wow, what a way to start the wedding season for 2023 ..
Saturday, I had the huge honour of creating the wedding flowers for Chris and Sarah wedding at The Post .
It was a wedding which for me ticked all the boxes, it was filled with true love, sincerity and of course an abundance of stunning seasonal white blooms. Held at the beautiful venue , what more could I ask for as a wedding florist ###
Hand on heart, Mr and Mrs Mannings, it was beyond a pleasure to have worked with you both and played a part in your incredibly special day ###

I welcome February with open arms.
January has been spent meeting couples, clients and writing numerous proposals. It has been a time of reflection, looking back a last year’s weddings and flowering events with very fond memories - each and everyone of them meant so much. Which is why I do love what I do.
On a dreary February Saturday morning, it is comforting to look back on a mid summer wedding, to remind us of the warmer, brighter days to come! Phoebe’s stunning bouquet from last July at - such a beautiful day and memories are made of days like these.
So, now it is about looking forward and feeling excited about all the plans for 2023 - feeling ready to hit the ground running.
I am not a New Year’s resolutions kind of girl, but I have promised myself to have more confidence in sharing and posting - so watch this space ###x
