Ho ho ho! Merry Bonfire Night! I hope the fireworks going off this evening will be enjoyable for you all, and not too distressing for those who struggle with them (especially the pooches and other animals) 🐶

But forget about the 5th: the new date to remember is 8th, when I'll be showcasing along with other splendid suppliers at Weddings at The Parlour 's Wedding Fair!

There'll be no Gunpowder Plot or any such malarkey, but there will be opportunities to have a look around the fabulous venue, and meet a good mix of potential suppliers

🎵 Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, especially when it's at a lush venue, on a nice summers day and working alongside Liam McCormick Photography

It was the first wedding I've had to wear shorts to, I remember it being that hot! 🥵 I always aim to be as smart as possible for these events, but when you're swinging camera's around all day you have to take comfort into account, can't be having a heat stroke while on a job

A sensational day all round, I came away with some lovely footage and making it into a film they can cherish for years to come 🎥

Behold the setting of Jay and Sophie's wedding; the elegant The Vermont Hotel, Newcastle in the heart of the city. Beautifully decorated with personalised adornments and ready for the ceremony! 💒

I always love the idea of keeping seats reserved for loved ones who have passed away, but are dearly missed. It’s incredibly respectful of their memory and honours them in a beautiful way 🥲

Also; the ambience is complete with the talented Sarah Dover Music providing the music, what a sensational voice! 🎤🎵

These are just some of the elements I enjoy capturing on video for my couples, so they can watch their film back for many years to come and remember all the beautiful details that make up their big day 💜

Hi everyone, I've been quiet on the socials the past couple of weeks so I thought I'd share an update:

What a summer it's been! We've had some lush weather and I got to film some fabulous weddings all around the North East, the last of which was the weekend just gone, marking the end of my busiest time of the year

Now comes the time-consuming part: catching up on all the editing work in the pipeline 💻 and making those magical memories come to life on-screen

It's hard work being self employed and juggling all the tasks that come with it, even harder when you have undiagnosed autism and ADHD. Quite honestly; I'm currently experiencing some slight burnout and a dip in my mental health for various reasons, including being my own worst critic

Thankfully I've got an amazing network of support; my family, friends, and especially my partner Katie, who helps me every single day in a myriad of ways 💜 helping me to carry on doing what I love and lifting me up when I'm at my lowest

To my wonderful couples currently waiting for their films; I'm focusing my energy on getting them finished and perfected as soon as I can, and I'd like to thank you all kindly for your patience while I do so 🙏🏻 I'll update you individually when I've made further headway

And to everyone; please be sure to talk with someone if you're also struggling, it's hard, but beneficial in the long run

Had the pleasure of working at the famous Spanish City for the first time yesterday, filming the lovely wedding of Chloe Rowe and Craig

Smashing venue, and absolutely scorching weather too! 🥵 The newlyweds are a lush couple and it was felt fabulous being able to capture their special day 🎥

Kelly and David’s teaser for their wedding film, which is currently in the cutting room and on its way to completion 🎥

There are two difficult parts about making these teasers: the first is deciding which clips do or don’t make the cut, especially when there’s so many special moments to choose from!

The second; my laptop overheating - sometimes crashing - from processing multiple clips/effects at once, any fellow DaVinci resolve users might understand 🥵

But it’s all worth it knowing the couples get a glimpse of what’s in store for them :) that’s why I’m happy to do them for all my future clients 💜
