Another year, another Valentines Day! Only for some of us it's a bit different this time around; including myself Anyone who's known me well enough throughout the years will agree I had struggled with loneliness for quite a long time. I was single for the better part of a decade, tried dating sites/apps multiple times with very little success, and there was times where I genuinely thought I was never going to meet anyone, times where I hit rock bottom emotionally Thankfully, all of that changed last year when -out of nowhere - I was lucky enough to meet the now love of my life: Katie Toner. We connected through Hinge and hit it off straight away in a spectacular fashion, I couldn't (and sometimes still can't) believe how lucky I am to have met her This is the first Valentines Day in many years where I haven't felt resentment or anxiety in the run up to the day. Because now; I have a partner in crime who adores me as much as I adore her, there's no feeling quite as comparable to having such a connection and being able to appreciate it. It's like a dream come true So this one's for you, my Silly Goose 💜 I promise to love you not just on February 14th each year, but every day for as long as I can. Let's keep cheering each other on in all our endeavours and build the future we want together And to anyone out there who is struggling today; I know it's hard to hear all the usual mantra's and advice people hand out - "someone for everyone" - etc. and even harder to believe it. But with enough patience and time, it can happen for you too. Don't give up.
