it's taken a few days to let the dust settle after such an amazing gig at Trillians Newcastle.

We were warmed up by a great set from James Harrison of All Out Attack UK.

Then we were treated with so many classics from Frankie Stubbs!

There's not really much to say other than savior the memory!

Of course it would not have been as good if it wasn't for the people who turned out to support the gig, venue and ultimately live music so thanks you everyone!

Sadly, the time has come for us to share the news that Bobiks, the music venue above The Punch Bowl will close as of March 25th.

As some of you may already know, The Punchbowl will soon change hands which means the new tenants have the autonomy to do what they consider best for the venue and most suiting to their vision. We wish the new operators at Birria Bella the best in their exciting new endeavours and hope the wonderful pub thrives moving forward.

With that said, unfortunately our little room continuing as a music venue doesn’t fit the overall vision for the venue and will only be open for 2 more gigs.

It’s been an incredible journey over the past 4 (very almost 5) and a bit years which saw us begin by hosting amazing local acts to eventually growing into a key venue on the national touring circuit. During busy touring periods we were hosting between 18-25 gigs a month, across ALL genres! If we say so ourselves, these are crazy numbers for a small venue and it fills us with immense pride to know how big of a part we played in the UK music scene.

Thank yous;

To the venue staff, sound engineers, promoters and artists who have kept our venue ticking, thank you and good luck moving forward.

To the fans, thank you for spending your hard earned cash and valuable time in our venue. We hope you had a wonderful night and loved which ever show it was you attended.

Finally, a special shout out to the / team who have acted as our venue programmers for the last 2 years. They will be here throughout the final batch of shows to ensure they run as expected and have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to find homes for all of the scheduled shows. At the time of writing this, we believe every show has found a new home and is either announced or pending announcement.
