Some lovely feedback from a local charity Ellis Lake Foundation who we recently supported in a fundraising event. We did a gameathon where the children did 1 full hour of no stop games. Brilliant event for a brilliant cause.

Our job might seem very random at times and to some it might look quite easy. Behind running a fun filled party where you capture the imaginations and attention of children there is a lot of work. In order to have a good quality birthday party, plans should focuses the children minds whilst still allowing them to be creative and use their imagination. Also the party host should be having just as much fun as the kids!

Happy transplant day to this wonderful young man!
A year ago today Ellis had his modified stem cells transplanted back into his body.
We are eternally grateful to the scientists and medical professionals who have made gene therapy possible. If the treatment continues to be successful Ellis will have the opportunity to grow up and experience everything life has to offer. Something that every child deserves but sadly with this disease doesn’t often get.
When you have a bone marrow or stem cell transplant, you become a member of the Double Birthday Club! This means you can choose to celebrate that day, and the anniversary each year, as a new birthday.
Many people choose to celebrate every year by holding a celebration with their family, or by giving back with some fundraising.
Ellis is of course thrilled to learn he is part of the double birthday club and is excited to celebrate with everyone on Sunday and do some fundraising at the same time!

Last week we dropped off our first round of hygiene packs to Great North Children’s Hospital. We’ve had an update today to say they have been delivered to the wards and have been very well received!
