STAFF REQUIRED
Marquee riggers needed. No experience needed as training will be given. A clean driving licence and 21 or over would beneficial but not essential. You will be required to work alongside experienced staff as part of a team helping with the building and dismantling of marquee structures which can be physically demanding.
This job would suit someone who would like to start a career in the marquee industry or maybe a university leaver.
Typical hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 until 3pm, you would also be required to work sundays and bank holidays when required.
Pay from £12-£15 p/h depending on experience and age.

FULL TIME GENERAL LABOURER

A sensational opportunity to join Collingwood Marquees. We are looking for fit and motivated people who embrace the opportunity to work outside, travel the North East working in amazing locations from stately homes to the country’s premier racetracks, to the most sumptuous of weddings. Your daily routine will involve taking in the fresh air in beautiful locations, working with a fast-paced team and learning new skills in erecting marquees. You will join a team of experienced erectors, so no experience is necessary as all the skills will be taught on the job. Full and part-time roles are available

Starting rate of £12.00 per hour.

Ideal candidate:

Must be 21 or over for insurance purposes

· Love working outdoors

· Enjoy keeping fit

· Enjoy working as part of a team

· Be keen and interested in learning new skills

· Have own transport to get to our yard and a full clean driving license is essential.

Collingwood Marquees are on the lookout for crew! Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.

If you enjoy working outdoors in a physically active role, then this would be perfect for you. We supply and erect marquees and hire out furniture for weddings, private parties and festivals across the North East of England. We have start dates in March, April and May 2022 on full time, part time and casual basis. You should be able to commute to our head office in Belsay, Northumberland (NE20 0HE).
The ideal candidates will be:
• Hardworking, practically minded and able to carry out physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.
• Reliable, honest and polite, with a professional approach to every job.
• A problem solver with a positive attitude.
• Flexible and able to work long hours and weekends when required; there will be some early starts!
• Able to adhere to our health and safety policies at all times and complete a training course at our head office.
• If you are happy to drive company vehicles and have a clean license that is an advantage. The role will include loading vehicles / trailers, travelling to and from sites and then setting-up and taking-down our marquees and furniture as part of a close-knit enthusiastic team. The role will also involve equipment maintenance and cleaning throughout the year. This role is aimed at a person wishing to hone and develop their skills in the events industry, and as such there is scope for the right candidate to develop into a more senior role; taking on more responsibility along with an increase in salary.
At Collingwood Marquees we’ll give you the opportunity to work in some beautiful locations alongside a great team, in what you’ll find to be an incredibly rewarding role. Experience of working in the events industry would be advantageous, and any experience erecting marquees even more so, but is not essential as full training will be given. We've got both full time and part time roles available with pay between £10 - £15 per hour, with the potential for pay rises throughout the summer based on performance as well as a loyalty bonus scheme.
