🔵⚪️HAVE YOU VOTED? 🔵⚪️

We spoke to so many lovely people on Saturday at the Fish Festival! We were at the stand Sharon gin formation on our proposal and the wonderful show that have created.

One of the reasons we love Newhaven is because of it’s amazing community, which was explicit on Saturday. This is why we want to bring There’s a Tiger in the Garden here, but we’re not just bringing the show, we’re proposing a whole set of workshops for the whole family to take part and get creative! And all for free!!

Jeff had a great time visiting Newhaven yesterday (for the first time ever!). He met lots of gorgeous people and loved handing out his colouring sheets.

He wants to come again, but he needs your vote to do so! Look out for the voting slips which have been posted through all BN9 letter boxes and make sure to select option No. 1 for ‘There’s a Tiger in Newhaven’

We’ll be at the Fish Festival tomorrow sharing information about our project There’s a Tiger in Newhaven.

We’ll have little surprise with us so look out for some magical dragonflies!

🦒 👵🏻 MESMERISING 👵🏻🦒

In September 2021, presented the world premier of Lizzy Stewart's prize winning book There's A Tiger in the Garden for young audiences on the Sussex coast.

Using puppetry, imaginative design and music – audiences join Nora as she discovers dragonflies as big as her head, plants that can eat you (and your toy giraffe) whole, a polar bear that likes fishing and maybe, just possibly, a tiger in the garden. It was the first time the book was presented as a live performance.

The experience was completely enchanting for my baby who was born in Lockdown so this was his first experience of live Theatre.

"My kids were mesmerised by the puppets and songs. I found it quite emotional going to see live theatre again."

We want to bring this magical experience to families in Newhaven for a weekend full of performances and workshops. Free to BN9 residents!

Voting opens on Tuesday 21, we’ll shortly be announcing how to vote so lookout for an update.

We are proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted as a finalist on BN9 competition in the search for a creative event

We are planning to host a Free family festival featuring creative workshops, culminating in performances of Flock Theatre’s There’s a Tiger in the Garden .

Yes, your read it right, completely free to Newhaven residents!

Voting runs from next Tuesday 21 June until 05 July and it’s opened to all BN9 post holders. Follow is for more information on how to vote!

Newhaven Collective is excited to present There’s a Tiger in Newhaven - a two-day creative festival for the whole family to enjoy. Featuring engaging workshops in singing, drama, movement, puppetry and design run by professional artists and designed to be enjoyed by all - parents, kids, grandparents - anyone wanting to get involved! Each day will culminate in a performance of Flock Theatre’s There’s a Tiger in the Garden, where we’ll join Nora as she discovers dragonflies as big as her head, plants that can eat you whole, a polar bear that likes fishing and maybe, just possibly, a tiger in the garden.
