1️⃣ I started my business 3 years ago, after trying to find something to work around my children, with school, clubs, etc. I have 4 (3,5,7,11) children who do a minimum of 16 extracurricular sessions a week, including dance, football, and swimming. My daughter also represents her dance school in competitions on the mainland, so I'm always busy, and sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed. So I've been trying to find a bit more of a balance this year, as I've said yes to nearly everything and found I burnt the candle at both ends....there's only so many bookings I can physically do in one day! I've had to tell myself that it's okay to have a limit on what I can do, I can't please everyone.
2️⃣ I have come further, and I offer more services than I thought I would, and I have to keep reminding myself of that and try to be proud of myself, although I'm my own worst critic, I suffer with anxiety and worry too much sometimes. Initially, I was going to just offer themed sleepovers. Then that quickly (within a month) changed with me purchasing my first bell tent to offer the islands first ( and I believe still only) themed bell tent hire service. I also advertised for weddings, with 2 booked straight away for the next month, I then realised I needed more tents... I now have 5.
3️⃣ I was the first on the island to offer white softplay with the added colour coordinated sensory toys and themed accessories. I got told by someone that I was silly having white softplay and nobody would want it as it's not bright, bold colours! Buttt... It's been so popular to the point that I have been made aware that somebody else has completely cloned my setups down to the exact same items, placed in the exact same way I do... it's annoying when I worked so hard on being individual but a compliment...I suppose 🫠
4️⃣ I put my heart and soul into this business, and I love what I do so much, I've met the most amazing people along the way and had the chance to work at some pretty
