**BEER FEST BAND ANNOUNCEMENT ***

Our first band to be announced for our Newport Beer fest that’s taking place on July 27th is the entertaining ‘Shades of Grey’

Some of you will recognise this band as they have planned many a gig for us before under their old band name of ‘Bluzebox’

After a sudden and unexpected loss of a founder member last year the band initially decided to call it a day, however after a period of reflection the remaining members have decided to go again with a new name!

The music has changed a bit but the vibes are definitely still there, they will be performing an eclectic mix of favourite tunes from artists such as T Rex, Cockney Rebel, Thin Lizzy, Amy winehouse, Brian Adams, ZZ Top, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Palmer and a whole host more!!

A superb band which will get you dancing on the tables folks!!

Red Rooster Events are looking into the possibility of bringing back an amazing Beer Festival to our lovely town of Newport!

You may well recall the beer, gin and rum festivals that we used to run in our old establishment, and what fun they were! ...

So, I have a couple of possible venues in mind, both within walking distance of the town centre .... What I now need to know is what the demand is for such a great day with 20 cask ales, keg beers, traditional cider and of course the customary Gin Bar to keep everyone's taste buds tingling! Oh, and of course live music to keep those dancing feet going!!
