⛰️Black Mountain Challenge 🚵‍♀️

Yesterday saw more participants enter into checkpoint 2 and from there a final push to Llanellen - with some downhill to finish on 🏁

The final few riders successfully finished in the early hours of this morning, meaning everyone can enjoy the day recouping without riding ☀️😅

✨It’s been another fantastic weekend; we’ve loved every minute and enjoyed meeting everyone! We can’t wait to see you all again next year 🙌🏻

🌅Good morning everyone ☀️

As the Black Mountain Challenge riders enter Day 2 of the event, we have already seen the arrival of 3 riders at the finish line 🏁

🏆David Conde arrived first, completing the course just before 5am.

🏅Not too far behind was Wayne Davies in second and Daniel Powell in third, both finished not long after sunrise

Well done to you all an amazing effort to power on through the night ⛰️🚴🏻‍♂️

🌗Special shout out to who has just set off on the Black Mountain Challenge nearly 12hrs after everyone else 🚴🏻‍♂️

With work commitments and a commute from Essex ➡️ Abergavenny, Adam couldn’t make it here any sooner but was still eager to take on the challenge 💪🏻🙌🏻

🍌🍪He has made a quick pitstop before heading towards Brecon and beyond - aiming for a non stop ride 🚴🏻‍♂️🌗

This is Stuart Llewellyn, 72 years young. He participated in our Solstice Sundowners event, completing the 102 miles and 2,200 meters of ascent with a smile in an impressive time of 11 hours and 14 minutes, finishing in joint 13th and proving that age is just a number. We are immensely proud that our event has attracted such a diverse age group, with riders ranging from their mid-teens to their 70s. We are in awe of Stuart's remarkable physical fitness, strength, and capability as a rider. Chapeau, Stuart.
