Our iconic Ballroom is set to undergo a stunning refurbishment, bringing even more elegance to its timeless charm. To make this transformation possible, The Ballroom will be temporarily closed from 19th January until early April 2025.

We are proud to share that The Headland achieved a 72% recycled waste rate – a milestone worth celebrating!

The festive season is one of the busiest times in hospitality, and with increased activity often comes increased waste. But we’re committed to doing things differently, taking significant steps to ensure a more sustainable Christmas.

Here’s how we made a difference:

Pre-ordering Christmas lunches – Guests pre-ordered their meals, allowing us to plan perfectly and reduce food waste, aligning with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Eco-friendly crackers – Fully recyclable and completely plastic-free crackers were chosen, supporting SDG 12 and SDG 13: Climate Action.

Team education and clear waste separation – Empowering our team with the tools and knowledge to recycle effectively fosters sustainable practices and reflects SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 12.
