Thank you for such a lovely email, it really means a lot to know that the children are comfortable around me.🥰

As I have been doing the parties for such a long time, children will get to know me through the years by attending friends parties and having their own, so this rapport is fundamental to the party experience. Even if I haven’t met the children before, I do like to think that within a short period of time they feel comfortable and enjoy themselves with me (usually straight away as being silly is great ice breaker! 🙊) 💕 one of the main contributing factors for putting children at ease is that the parties are carried out in a familiar environment- home! And for the guests, they are going to their friends house which most of the time they have done before anyway.

Parties are an integral part of children’s social life, so my parties are designed to be fun but not too overwhelming, so children who do struggle in social environments can still be involved in whatever way they want to be.

Many years ago a very shy little girl who had selective mutism went to her first party of mine. She didn’t join in with anything but was very relaxed, I wasn’t expecting to see her again. But every single year (except Covid years) from the age of 8, she had her own party with me until she was 18. Throughout the years she joined in more and more and eventually spoke to me and even gave me a present knowing it was her last party with me 🥰 her mum told me that she really liked me and also just loved having her friends over and watching them enjoying themselves. This meant the world to me and reinforces the importance of doing the parties in the way I do them. I’m in my 17th year now- where has that time gone!! 🙈

As I have lots of new followers, here’s a few things you may like to know about me and how I started Dazzling Pamper Parties!

Firstly HELLO and THANK YOU for choosing a Dazzling Pamper Party!

Born and bred janner I moved from Plymouth to Bovey Tracey in 2021 with my boyfriend Marty, Purrdy my cat and dogs Minnie & Mabel; My favourite colour is rainbow and I eat way too much pizza and sandwiches!

I believe laughter can heal wounds that can't be seen and have a crazy shoe obsessions (I have over 100 pairs!)

I have been running Dazzling Pamper Parties since 2008. I developed my passion for working with children when I was just 16 and worked as a party and den supervisor at the local children's 'Deep Sea Den'. I would have a whale of a time accidentally falling in the ball pools and loved making the children laugh!
I knew that I wanted a career that would make people laugh and feel happy. Fast forward a few years where I had trained for my holistic beauty therapy and teenage beauty specialist diplomas.
I quickly realised that although I loved to work within the beauty trade - it still wasn't where my heart was.
I then went to University to become a Paediatric Occupational Therapist! It was during my first year placement at the hospital where I started Dazzling Pamper Parties.
I knew I wanted to work with children and make them smile. I knew how important social inclusion is for children and how much a party can impact on their friendship groups. I also have had experience first hand at what it is like to hold parties at home - and to do everything can be incredibly stressful!

Dazzling Pamper Parties was designed around being affordable and stress-free for parents whilst being fun for children - and of course making them feel like the special princesses they are! Because they are designed to be carried out at home for groups as small as 4 means that even the more socially distant children can take part and enjoy their party.
Once I was up and running the parties became an instant hit! After my second year at Uni I decided my heart was no longer there, however still had a passion for helping people.

During the years I have also worked in care settings as a support worker and enabler and have obtained my DBS certification. As well as being able to help children to enjoy their birthday parties I also worked as an activities and events manager for a local charity working with children and young adults with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

After relocating to Bovey Tracey I also changed job as an activities coordinator for a residential home working with older people with dementia. This is equally a rewarding job which I absolutely love!
When I'm not busy pampering or working I love spending time with my friends, their children and my family. I love nature and going on lovely walks around the moors and exploring lots of beaches! When i'm not feeling lazy I also love getting out on my bike! I even cycled from Vietnam to Cambodia back in 2013! As well as exploring the local Devon and Cornwall Delights, I love to go on HOLIDAY!! I have been lucky enough to visit lots of places around the globe but there are so many places to explore - i'm just going to keep having fun enjoying as many as I can!

Well that's enough about me! I can't wait to party with you!

‼️ADVERSE WEATHER NOTICE‼️

With the stormy weather this weekend, I just wanted to remind everyone that there may be rare occasions where due to ice, snow, strong winds, flooding etc that I will not be able to get to you for your party.
I will try to get to you no matter what as I hate to let anybody down - especially children on their birthdays!
Unfortunately my fairy magic doesn't stretch far enough to sort the weather and there might be times I can't get out to you safely.
In the event that I cannot get to you for your party, I will contact you at the earliest opportunity that I can to inform you. Unfortunately for those who have morning parties, this could mean only a couple of hours notice for which I deeply apologise for in advance.

If this does happen you can choose to have a full refund of any money paid including the deposit, or I will reschedule your party with a discounted rate for the inconvenience. You can also choose to have a bespoke pamper box made with the deposit already paid.
