Hosted by the Village Hall committee, we’ve got over 20 amazing artisan makers, as well as delicious light lunches, snacks and cakes and a licensed bar from noon.

With less than two weeks to go until the doors opens at the Village Hall we’d like to introduce you to the first half of our makers at what will be our 7th Artisan Market.
Our 24 carefully selected artisans will be hoping to tempt you with their exquisite crafts and produce on Sat 16th and Sunday 17th November between 10am until 4pm.

Live music, bar, burgers, bouncy castle, fresh donuts and side shows

The Combe Tuggers (in pink) have had a great season winning Shaldon regatta, the Toulchards cup and finishing in second place to the national champs at Widecombe Fair.
Stokeinteignhead (in black) are training hard this year to try and win back the Battle of the Villages trophy from the Combe Tuggers.
Red Rock Mud Race 2024
The start
The Mud Race returns for the first time since Covid on Sunday 8th September at 3pm.
The run starts near Combe Cellars and will make its way across the estuary, around 'Red Rock' and back. A fun and enjoyable event for all the family. See the 2011 Mud Race below.
The event is timed to coincide with the low tide - no swimming is necessary! Refreshments including alcohol, teas, coffees and cakes will be available.
Participants must wear suitable footwear (NO BARE FEET OR WELLINGTONS PERMITTED) and all those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Start at 3.30pm. Please allow 30 minutes for registration.
Events begin with a group warmup followed by:
Race 1 – elite runners (self-chosen)
Race 2 – all others in the following classes U16, 16-39, 40-60, Over 60.
All adult competitors to be served first beer free or soft drink after the race! U16 get a soft drink. Trophies will be presented to each category winner and medals will be given to all runners.
There will be a prize for the best fancy dress and possibly a Team Race prize.
Please park in Hearn field and follow the signs.
Entrance Fees: Adults: £8, U16: £5.
