LANGALAND 2019 - FESTIVAL CANCELLED

Langaland Festival was born at Langaford Farm in 2016. We had our last hurrah on home soil in 2018, as our activities did not align with the conservation credentials of the site.

We sought a suitable new home and found a premises to host Langaland for 2019 and perhaps beyond.

Due to the site owner not complying with environmental health law/requirements, and despite being granted a license the site has now been deemed unsafe for a public event due to the significant implications for public safety regarding infection control. There are no alternative safety measures we can enforce to counter-act this.

We have explored several alternative sites in the last 24 hours, but despite the support of these venues, with only 15 days until our doors were due to open, we simply do not have the time to amend our plan to a new site and gain the necessary licenses without jeopardising some of our core values; quality and value for money, and most importantly the safety of our Langafamily.

Despite all the challenges we have faced, the hours of voluntary time and considerable costs committed at this late stage, it is with huge regret and sadness we have been forced to cancel Langaland Festival 2019 for this reason and this reason alone.

This is not what we wanted at all. We hope that should we revive the festival, you will join us in the fields and understand the situation we are faced with this year. We hope this has not been our final curtain call.

All those who have purchased a ticket will be automatically refunded within the next 2 weeks.

We have the lovely Pip Theatre coming along to Langaland Festival 2019, hosting a children's theatre workshop on Saturday evening, from 6pm!

The very talented Elizabethannedance and Celestine Stilwell have collaborated on a performance made just for Langaland, set to be a moving and powerful piece, combining dance and spoken work, We Are Not Done will make it's debut at Langaland Festival 2019, it's one not to miss!
