Easily 10 yrs ago Luke (Carson) who trains Rhys was in JF Bridal getting fitted for a suit and he told me about Rhys the gymnast he had great hopes for. I’ve watched their progress ever since and even after Tokyo to just keep believing that you were destined for greatness is inspirational. The Norn Iron motto “Dare to Dream” It is incredible what our Olympic heroes have achieved, many congratulations. I’ll be there this afternoon to show how proud I am. I hope the future youth will be inspired to go for 🥇. 4.30pm in Conway Square

The inspiration of their “ power of positivity” , their resilience and finally their reward for all their hard work and determination should be applauded. Late Blossom, sure its better late than never, but one thing about bridal you have got to be ready on time. This time of year weddings, flowers and Chelsea Flower Show is always in my mind. Just like the exhibitors we want perfection on the day. I hope the girls from Helensbay and anyone else visiting from NI are enjoying the show, I may just sew my flowers.

When I went into work this morning I couldn’t help but see that even my post box outside the shop window has taken on the latest fashion trend for post boxes. On closer inspection I recognised the Cool FM breakfast crew. Thanks to everyone involved in cheering up Church Street, hope everyone got an egg for Easter 🐣 Happy Easter Everyone

"Support" , we all need to support each other to help make life easier. In my job I do my best to help make girls feel good and confident in the outfits I make them. Often the foundation is the most important thing. I'm sitting looking at this corset on my tailors dummy thinking about the people effected by the fire in Conway Square this morning! I could see and smell the effects of the fire in Church Street I can't even begin to imagine how any one copes when their business is destroyed by fire. The girls in Cordiners shoe shop were always so lovely when I went into their shop.
On this day of international women's day I spare a thought for everyone out there that has horrific challenges and I hope I can help any women in their times of distress.
"Support" others in their time of need.

Today I noticed mention the trend so I thought I must share this idea to see if it's of interest to you. I can do other colours as you will see from the information provided on etsy. However you have to think of the size that you will need to suit your cake. For example the circumference of the cake, the size of the bow and the length of the tails. DM me if you need help.

Ferns a symbol of New beginnings, new life I very much hope we can all look forward to a Healthy and Happy New Year in 2024.
This week I had my first wedding of the year and my bride wore one of my latest embroidered veils. The embroidery on her dress and veil represented both her new husband and her two cultures and their flora and fauna.
Ferns featured as I walk past a fern everyday as I enter my house, I never fail to be inspired by what’s obvious to me. Did you know in the folklore and traditions of the Irish hedgerow fern symbolises the concept of eternity. It is believed that if you are giving someone a fern as a gift, you are giving them the hope that they will have confidence, shelters, wealth and happiness. So a great plant to give to someone or to have embroidered on your veil. Often called Living Lace in the Victorian era the fern embodied trustworthiness and humility. There are 100’s of different species, in Japan they exemplify family and hope for the future. With all that’s happening in Japan and around the world we could do with lots of Hope for the future.

It’s that time of year when I go to see the new fabrics and trends for my brides to be. As the plane took off at 3.30pm on 8/9/22 I was in a passive mood , relaxed, looking forward to my journey. I was able to take time to reflect look out the window and ponder, in awe of the idea of the heavy aircraft taking flight. A few moments later I could see nothing more of Belfast Lough and only the white fluffy clouds dazzling in the suns rays. It was the most glorious sight, restful, peaceful, awesome what a place to float into. The clouds looked thick enough to support you and as pure and clean as a fall of fresh snow but with the sun shining there was a cosy feel. Idyllic, a heavenly place in the sky where one could ponder on life and what you had achieved and hopefully what I still had to achieve and to take time to be thankful for all that I have. Without all the people that have come in and out of my life I wouldn’t be where I am this day. You make a difference by the actions you take every day. Thank you.

It has been 7 weeks today since the lives, their believes and dreams were shattered by the invasion of another country. I have watched and listened to the horrors of war and struggle to think how the people of Ukraine are coping with the hell they are being put through. "There is no other value in our life but people- nothing more important left but to save people's lives." Anna October. So what can I do in some way to help and support peace in Ukraine?? At this present time money to feed and provide aid to the millions displaced.
