Peace within us and around us 🙏
2023 has been an emotional rollercoaster and I hope to God 2024 is brighter and well, more stable somehow please? (I say this for all my own selfish reasons but mostly now, I want stability for the world and humanity).
✨️ As some try to ruin us, let those of us who lead with love stand up.
If we can all lead more with empathy and love, over fear and hate then we will ALL be stronger.
Sermon over lol. I'm now switching off to focus on my family, who I am so blessed and so grateful to be surrounded by.

💫 2 0 2 5 - W E D D I N G S 💫

I have finally opened my 2025 diary for bookings. A lot of thought has gone into whether or not I would continue to shoot weddings into 2025...not that I don't still love it...but self employment is hard. You have to be a serious badass to run your own business 💪I've been doing it for 10 years now.

So, how can I continue to shoot beautiful weddings with less stress?

Well, I will be shooting less so I can give more. I will only take on a maximum of 12 weddings in 2025, and honestly as the bookings come in, I will keep an eye on how my diary looks and lower this number if I feel the need.

I want to photograph the couples and their weddings who reach out to me and connect. I want my work to be special and not cookie cutter 'another day, another wedding' experience for either of us!

Walking into my forties with all my ride or dies - you know who you are 🥰 I have THE best friends, THE best mum, dad, brother, + sister in law. Not to mention my wee Bryden boys who spoilt me rotten. Also, massive hugs to the Elliott clan who came to share some cake.
Everyone has been so generous this past weekend, and I will cherish all of the memories we made!! THANK YOU ❤️

Want to know a secret?
The reception entrance shot is one of my least favourite shots of the day 🙈
Here's some reasons why...
1. Bridal party often look mortified
2. Hotel staff walk right in front of everyone and I can't get a good shot
3. No one ever walks the right direction to the top table.
4. Weaving through tables is so tight for space and difficult to capture.
BUT
and this is a big BUT (insert pun here)... if done right, it can be awesome!
The biggest tip is to GO FOR IT! Dance, cheer, get your guests on their feet, be really silly, go big with it! It sets the tone for a fabulous party 🎉🍾

Victoria + Adam are getting married this month 🙌
The countdown is on so we took a wee afternoon over Christmas to do a pre- wedding shoot and catch up before the big day.

I do love a shot inside the wedding car. It's usually your first moments alone as a married couple (apart from me gate crashing lol). Some have a good giggle, some a wee smooch but there is always a big sigh of relief that the formal part of the day is done 🤣🍾
