I'm Fay and I run The North Berwick Flower Co, a flower farm in East Lothian, and I have put together a course to take you through the first year of developing your garden - A Blooming Garden For Beginners.

The course covers:
Design and planning
The plants themselves - who does what, for how long and when
Planting and growing from seed
Plant care, pests, and pruning

The course is a mix of downloadable workbooks and videos to suit different learning styles.

You also get our flower chart with details of when different plants will flower and a handy month by month list of 'could do' jobs to do in the garden.

My first ever course is now available on the website - 'A Blooming Garden for Beginners'!

This course has downloadable content for you to learn at your own pace and takes you through 'Getting to Know Your Plot', 'Design', 'Planning', 'Plant Choice and Working With Them' etc as well as covering topics such as growing in certain conditions such as shade or clay soil, tackling a new build garden etc...

You will also receive our Planting Year Calendar, which details what you could plant and when and our Cut Flower Planner with some of our favourite blooms form the field, plus a monthly 'Could Do' list of jobs throughout the year...

Well, I have been a bit busy since the last 'pick you own' session at the weekend 😀

So many of you have asked how we grow our cut flowers over the summer so I thought I would pop a course together to show you. It is a practical guide to growing your own cut flower patch (you don't need acres, just a section of a flower bed or containers), with what works in our climate, which flowers do what and how prolific are they at flowering, for example if you cut them, will they bloom again and again for you etc...

I am just putting the finishing touches together and will be able to release it in the next few weeks...I am so excited.
